Xbox Live and PSN both have some games with dedicated servers and some that are P2P. That said, I play on both services and I do not notice the PSN being any smoother or more reliable in any way, so I am not sure more dedicated servers is really helping anything anyway. I get disconnected from matches in Uncharted 2 like every 10 matches or something and it is annoying. I almost never get dropped from Halo 3 matches on the other hand.

The thing that makes Live worth it is all ...

And what did the PS3 have to go up against Gears of War 2? Boring old Resistance 2, that's what. By the end of this generation we will be up to Resistance 4, and it will still suck. Oh and we also had another boring addition of the ultimate milked franchise: Ratchet & Clank. Oh yeah, we got one of those this year too.

You just completely ignore btw the other 99% of games on the 360 that are not Halo. Not to mention that Halo Wars and Halo 3 are so completely different ki...

Lots of people don't like racing games so I don't think the appeal is as broad as you think. I am not doubting that it will sell very well, but I think you guys are wrong if you think it will sell like the old Gran Turismo games did.

Then who decides what is quality? I was told by reviewers that GTA4 was one of the best games ever made, but I think it is only an average game. LittleBigPlanet was also supposed to be an amazing game and I found it boring.

You can say quality > sales until you are blue in the face but at the end of the day the statement doesn't mean anything. You can't qualify such a thing. Which game is more quality? Which console has more quality? There is no authority on such things,...

Well, I think Modern Warfare 2 is a far better game than Dark Sector, so it just goes to show you that there is no final authority on what is a good game. There are only a bunch of opinions. But I do agree with the point that people for the most part buy the games they think they will like. Most people dont buy anything until they are pretty damn sure that it is what they want.

Speaks volumes? Yes it does. It says that Halo is one of the most finely crafted gaming experiences around, regardless of genre. You want to hate on it because it is extremely successful and isn't found on your favorite console. It's like the kind of brainless people that hate on any successful movie or actor and just want to attack them and try to bring them down. I despise that mentality.

No, the PS3 does have some good games this year, just not as much as the 360.

PS3 fanboys act like complete A-holes on the internet. 360 and Wii fanboys can be bad, but they are nowhere near as bad as PS3 fanboys.

Mooey, grow up and move out of your parent's basement.

Why do some people act like you can just upgrade any old PC. "If you are typing this you must have a PC", they say. Well lots of us have weak laptops that we surf the net with and I guarantee that trying to upgrade it to something useful for gaming would be pointless. So, for many people getting into PC gaming would be at least a $500 or $600 investment.
Besides, you would miss out on all the good games that can only be found on the 360 like Gears 2, Fable 2, Halo 3, Crac...

You claim it isn't a system seller, but how do you know.
Lots of 360 exclusives have also been released on the PC and the 360 still has a lead over the PS3. So yeah, I'd say they are system sellers.
If it really hurt the 360 so bad to have those games also on the PC then I guarantee Microsoft wouldn't put their own games on it.
The strategy seems to be to have some games that can only be found on the 360 and then allowing some games to spread over to the PC.
The ...

OMG he is getting disagrees because he said it possibly could be game of the year or is the best RPG. Well, for him it might be. And even among the media I think that might be the case. I think it has a good chance of outscoring Final Fantasy XIII and there really isn't any other RPG anywhere close to the same level. And if you can't see that it has a good shot of being in the running for GOTY then you simply are not aware of bioware's pedigree.

You know, Demon's Souls has lot of little nit pick issues like that as well but it is the overall experience that matters.
Mass Effect was an amazing experience overall.

Silly fangirls, can't think your way out of a paper bag can you?

The 360 had sold 5 million consoles by the time the PS3 launched and guess what? It's still ahead by more than 5 million consoles, so the PS3 has not closed the gap at all. In fact, it has only gotten bigger. It is probably closer to 6 or 7 million now.

"PS3 fanboy here" -fixed ...and nothing more needs to be said.

You act like if a console has slightly fewer new games come out one year than a competing console that it suddenly has "no games". What a load of bollocks. I had plenty to play on my 360 with Halo Wars, Forza 3, Left4Dead 2 and several multiplatform games. It has taken me a while to get through most of those games and I've still not beaten them all. Not to mention all the online multiplayer g...

This article wasn't well thought out, that's for sure. The explanation is obvious and has already been covered by posters above me.

If he wants to ask questions like that, I'll ask my own. If there are around 30 million PS3s out there and Uncharted 2 is its biggest game ever, why are there only an average of between 5,000 to 7,000 people playing online at any given time? It's a fantastic game and one of the few PS3 games I really like and it is clearly a huge game for the PS3,...

What are you talking about? Digital Foundry at Eurogamer.net is the most credible. Their comparisons are in-depth and carried out in a very professional manner. Lens of Truth would probably be the next best, but they don't have the same experience or knowledge as Digital Foundry and their analysis is not as in-depth, so they sometimes make some strange statements.

And you are just flat out wrong about Batman AA. At best that game could be said to be equal on both consoles. ...

Dead Space was not better on the PS3. That's a bald faced lie.

I've compared both versions and the PS3 version had a rougher frame rate and had missing effects in a few parts. Digital Foundry found the same thing. Here is what they said:

"A cursory look at the game itself reveals that although the conversion isn't bad at all, it's very clear indeed that Dead Space is first and foremost an Xbox 360 game.

A run-through of the first act seems to ind...

Quit being ignorant. Eye Toy cannot calculate in 3 dimensions like Natal can. The two are very different.

It means something. It means the 360 owners will be enjoying this for how ever long until it comes out on the PS3. It also means that many fans of Modern Warfare 2 will tend to gravitate towards the 360. Believe me, when you are a big fan of something having to wait months to play it can feel like torture.

The 360 already has the better performing version of MW2 and now it also has some timed exclusive content on the way.
