MS pumped out a TON of advertising in Japan too at one time and it was cheaper than PS3 there aswell yet it still got beat by ps3 those weeks 10/1 advertising sure helps a lot I dont disagree with that point but Americans have a form of loyalty to American products. Competition is not always great for gamers it leads to division and segregation. Its why we have to buy 2 or 3 consoles just to enjoy our favourite games and now its got to the fact where that's only 1 or 2 games thanks to exclusives being so small. Add on Xbox live and PS3 is a LOT cheaper. As not many buy a console for offline gaming these days. People may compare PS+ but you dont need PS+ to play online. You can compare PS to Xbox live till you go blue in the face but the fact is most people like myself just wanna play games and play them online. Most don't even use headsets anymore unless with there friends thanks to the amount of crap we get.
Aim a little higher? 30FPS is easily fine as long as it doesn't drop below and there is no tearing. A $99 box would get you low specs though meaning low settings on latest games and the box only comes with linux so it doesnt run every steam game.

4K will be supported but games will hardly use it like now no game uses 1080p. The reason is hardware like now. Unless it comes out with stupid hardware making the console cost over $700 its gonna be underpowered for 4k gaming. It might work fine for 4k TV and movies however there will be no movies and tv broadcasts for about 5 years so its completely pointless right now. You cannot even fit a 4k movie on a 25gb bluray. Plus movies and tv shows arent recorded in anything above 1080p right now...
4K will fail unlike blu-ray as only gaming will use it. Movies wont be in 4k for at least 6 years neither will TV be broadcast in 4k for about as long. So nobody will get 4K tvs meaning it will be pointless on PS3 or 720.
W8 would cripple the new xbox.. It uses 2gb alone and the reason consoles last so long is lack of a foundation OS like windows. Look at phones and tablets OS take most of resources. They dont work on consoles.
No the problem is these devs have now invested million in the console and the public are bot buying it so they are coming out and supporting it in voice so people will buy it hopefully so then they will buy there games. Your not gonna slate a console your developing for are you?
Indeed they could do that to build excitement and take some wind out of MS sails coming into E3. However then MS would probably "win" E3 as they would have a new console to announce. I would prefer to see a ton of ps4 games though rather than all the new console features at E3. Unlike MS who will just show us 90% console 10% games no doubt as thats what you do with a console (and kinect)
Although Sony has more games than MS before May 2013 if they dont announce PS4 at destination playstation what they gonna talk about? As there is a still a lack in games after May 2013.. All we know about is 1313 and GTA 5.

Consoles never held back games and PCs the devs chose to do it. They didnt have to. PC gaming should have evolved a long time ago.

Europe and Japan is the reason PS3 finally caught up with 360. It will surpass it just as the new consoles come out.. will Sony take pride in this? Probably as yet again MS came second. But MS will take heed they were on top for most of it and held them toe to toe most the generation. Well done to MS for this generation gotta say they done well for there first major console. The Xbox was a failure and MS rightly dropped it for the better 360.
Anybody with REAL info on these consoles has signed an NDA and that means they won't be saying a damn thing so all these "insiders" are chatting crap to get hits.
