Indeed DS sales were amazing but piracy really helped. I dont know a single person with legit games. They all have R4 carts or similar.
How its going to work is its going to license it with your PSN. So changing your console wouldnt change a damn thing. It wont link to your console. They already use this technology with a couple of games like PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. You can see the technology and how it works with that game. You get a free Vita version that's locked to YOUR PSN. You can trade the game in but when somebody buys that disc they cannot get the free Vita game if you have already registered it.
This has nothing to do with Gaming though so the article is pointless. It will probably not be used in the nextbox. If it is then like Nintdo it will show MS is losing touch with there demographic. 360 gamers looking to upgrade want games and quality games not technology's like this that to be fair MS could have created themselves.
Honestly cheating as long as it doesnt affect others is fine IMO. As if it makes the game more fun for the end user I say why not? As at the end of the day we play games for fun and if they make it more fun then fair play to them.

Its obvious gun laws are the problem and have been for a long time now. Video games sell worldwide yet everytime we hear about these shootings in schools it always seems to be in the US. This is because of non strict gun laws where any child can get a gun.
It probably would be a contender though and it made a massive mistake being on a console which RPG enthusiasts do not buy for there RPG's.

DX11 means only powerful pcs can run it. DX10 support means older PCs could run it and it would have looked good aswell. For example get a DX11 game and try run in DX11 mode. You cna buy a DX11 card from £30 but to run a DX11 game like Crysis 3 your cards gonna be about £160 minimum.
Tablets arent the future because of size and controls. Consoles have been killed early in there life purely because of controls. The reason this hasn't happened with tablets is they are used for a lot more than gaming. You tried playing a game like GTA on ipad? How can you get hyped for DayZ standalone? it's technically a game that's already out just doesn't require ARMA. So you can play it already, so no need for the hype..
its ps3 heavy as 360 hasnt had many quality exclusives in a long time. I don't get the METRO hype either personally its not that great of a series..

Also look at consoles now there stuck at 30fps because they are lagging behind and nex-gen consoles may use better tech at launch but by the time devs squeeze every bit of power out of them games will have improved and moved on in terms of power needed. Well its outsold 360 each and every year so its not done too bad even if its only been around a couple of million worldwide each year. Only wii beat it early years but was that really a contender?
PS4 will be Christmas 2013s number 1 gift everywhere except maybe the US where Xbox may take number 1 spot. However PS3 will still sell bucketloads just like PS2 did for a few years after ps3's launch.
