That includes launch amounts though its not gonna hit the 6 million by March originally forecasted by Nintendo. It's done okay but I still fell once next gen consoles are announced its gonna be in trouble. I think its why they announced so much last week.
Sadly I agree but that could work in Sonys favour. If MS say we launch nov 21st. Sony say Oct 21st or something most console owners will go for ps4 as they really want nex-gen now and won't even wait a week.
It did enough damage. 360 should never have become as big as it did. It had everything wrong about a console from high death rate at launch to having to pay to play online games but thanks to Sony bumbling their launch MS still got in anyway. Gamers (most of them) speak with there wallets and most shunned original Xbox because of stuff like online pay-to-play. Because PS2 was the superior console though not in terms of specs but backing. Backing can outweigh specs in that respect.
MS E3 is always before Sony's from that time they have 4/5 months to build millions of ps4s for launch. This is what they are talking about no doubt in my mind. They will announce the ps4 and show games working on a dev kit version but no doubt the final spec won't be "final" until MS have announced there console. Thats what he is probably talking about.

Games wont be enough to sell 4k. People need TV/Movie content and thats simply not coming. Not any time soon anyway. Plus not to mention older films which in fairness some have gone upto 1080p quite well but 4k will be a stretch too far. People will be getting HD and Ultra HD movies as everything is still being recorded in HD right now so anything post 2013 would probably be available in 4k (and probably not all) but anything before that you would get an upscaled version or have to live with ...

Funnily enough its the sole reason pushing me to Vita. I'm building up a nice collection now. So its a double winner for Sony as it will probably sell Vitas.
If PS+/XBL Gold launches with PS4/360 it could be a reason a lot of 360 owners switch. Only the most hardcore will stick with MS. People got in on the 360 as it was the first console out and once your invested you carry on paying even though your getting forced to pay for simple services such as online play. Sony can use this to propel the PS4 at launch. They may even say its coming just not at launch as they will obviously want games to sell first.. Maybe we will see some sort of backwards c...
Thanks to plus I rarely buy games any more on ps3 except the odd ones that obviously wont make it like jrpgs. As for comparing regions US some months gets better than EU and vice versa.
Worldwide sales really helped with DMC but it just shows again that outside of shooters ps3 gamers buy more compared to 360. Most 360 gamers get a 360 for Halo and Gears with the multis on top whereas people buy PS3 for more than that.

Well if they have to do it like Figures unlocks DLC then I cannot see any other way around it other than patching in DLC which could be huge. Skylanders did it with the addon content. You bought a pirate ship or some other toy which unlocked new areas but obviously that content was already on your system rather on the disc or from a patch. I know people don't like paying for DLC already on disc but would you rather have a massive patch instead? As these new waves of toys unlock characters...
They will never get $60 for a SNES game in this day and age though.
Indeed it is about the @we have stuff coming@ so people don't trade in there consoles as my local stores have a lot of pre-owned consoles already..
People are saying the WiiU will be screwed when new consoles are released but it will survive in some form as there are Nintendo loyalists who will keep picking up consoles like the WiiU for there Mario and Zelda games which can only be found on Nintendo consoles. I don't think it will sell anywhere near PS4/720 numbers but it will sell enough for Nintendo to support it for its life-cycle. I may even pick one up myself as a second console once its dropped in price as I love playing smash ...
Dont know why these games are so popular in the US they are just a hack and slash game with platforming elements but hey, whatever helps sell consoles I guess. I love hack and slash games usually as I bought every Dynasty Warriors game released (i'm not comparing the games just type) and really couldn't get into any of these games..

Above nex-gen? Not this time. Last time Nintendo had the edge thanks to it being available to everybody. It was VERY casual. This time they want more hardcore and hardcore gamers want the best.
