So what if its triple core? My mobile phones a quad core and its only 1ghz.. Sure it has three cores but if it has a low clock speed its gonna struggle.

It depends on how they do it but building pcs and selling them pre-built mass market could work. It would keep costs down and make things a lot easier for those who always wanted top PC graphics without the PC costs. Of course you can buy PC's built now but people go for consoles because of the ease of it all Valve are bringing that idea to PCs. This however could seriously damage consoles nex-gen.

MGS brand goes hand in hand with the PS brand. Cannot see the main series going multi-platform. Its partly the reason why people buy PS consoles. Plus its a Japanese developer this is the key here. Japanese developeres prefer PS and Nintendo(Konami, Square-Enix,Level 5) and American devs prefer Xbox(EA,EPIC). Its all to do with sales first and foremost. Its not the best looking game in the past 5 years let alone this year as Crysis 1 on PC blows it away however out of them 4 its a clear winner. That category was rigged was 360 to come out on top. They never let PC games in on graphics to give consoles a fighting chance and its BS.
Sony destroyed Zipper how? They didn't do no such thing they still released plenty of games for PS3 unlike RARE. They just couldn't keep up with current gen. Zipper wasn't that great anyway. Finally Sony got sick of them losing money and pulled them. Sony did well to stick with them so long.
Please NO! MS have destroyed every games company they have bought in the past bar bungie who only managed to not fall apart thanks to not being 100% MS owned. Look at what happened to RARE for example once a huge name in the gaming world and now a 2nd rate developer that nobody looks forward to their next release. EPIC needs to stay independent for that reason. Ms should take a leaf from Sonys book on how to handle studios when taken over.

Played for 10 minutes on my pc and so far really liking it. It sucks you in from the very first minute and engrosses you.

The thing is about those games where millions buy day 1. The sales die after day 1. Because everybody has bought. Look at 360 exclusives for the main proof of this. They drop price so fast its unreal yet they outsell most ps3 exclusives day 1. When a game drops price it means sales have died down. When they die some more they drop even lower and so on. Until sales are so low its not plausible to continue to make it anymore.

You can buy a full size wii for that price nowadays. Sure this is smaller but less features so not really worth it.

Thing is though this happens with all MS exclusives the games sell stupidly well day 1 then hardly any afterwards. Because the same people who buy them, buy the sequels each year they have a problem getting new customers.
I have a ps3 and pc, I use my PS3 for RPGs and dynasty warriors and PC for everything else. All multi-platform games I get on PC and you would be mad not to. I had a 360 aswell until a couple of month ago when I sold it due to having no reason to hold onto it after dance central got stale and better FPS games on PC.
No way does it need that much. You can play games like battlefield now in 1080p on 4gb running in windows. These consoles wont have an OS slowing them down meaning a lot more free RAM. They wont need to go past 1080p as they will be played on TV's not monitors so 8GB is OVERKILL and will only increase console prices however 4GB I think should be included to future proof them.
