Indeed it depends whats more important to you, games or new console announcement. To Xbox fans it will be the console as they have been waiting but gamers in general it will be games. So very clever for Sony.
Good thing I like about PC version is trainers and cheat engines. This way you can actually get the game you paid for. It's why developers hate PC so much they cannot lock content on disc on PC as you can easily access it through cheat software. So no EA I won't pay you for your DLC thats freely available on the DISC i'll take whats mine thankyou very much :). Saying that i'm not gonna buy DS3. They need a new ad agency as the one they had clearly wasnt working! Partly why Xbox was so dominant was ads. You hardly saw ads for PS3 compared to 360 in the states. I know this and I like in the UK!
Indeed Vita is still in its infancy theres not way Sony can afford anew handheld right now since they made ZERO profit from Vita yet.
Its expensive as that handheld controller costs more than half of the asking price! Why do you think you cannot buy a second controller yet? The console itself is only $150 the handheld though is $200 more than the console thanks to the technology it uses. Its more modern and up to date thus costing more to manufacture.
Indeed 4 real exclusives and only 2 of them are retail games.. PS3 has already had 2 retail exclusives games out in 2013.. 360 is falling behind and fast. 8 games and most of them are arcade titles.. PS3 is getting a ton more of them and not just the arcade titles As above theres 10 titles that are full retail games. Then you have arcade on top. A couple on the list are on PC too so not really exclusive.. MS have dropped support for 360 as there new console is coming out this year and why are people surprised and trying to stick up for them? They did the exact same thing with the original Xbox...
They wouldn't take a hit though as they would get back $600 (per customer) if they charged $50 a month in the first year, and the second year would be pure profit. The customer seems to be getting a great deal up front but is getting ripped off in the long run.
I can see it happening imagine if they had say 10 million users paying them $50 a month for 2 years? That's some serious CASH! Of course it would be far cheaper to go our and buy a console but MS proved last generation getting it cheaper day 1 rather than in the long haul is what people prefer. As the 360 over 7 years was far more expensive thanks to XBL than PS3.

Just shows if you wait long enough nothing is exclusive on 360 anymore.. PC got Fabe 1,2 and 3 and the first Gears and seems like its getting Halo 3. All you got left is Forza.. This is clever though from MS as would make them a boat load of money to go towards producing there new console.
I agree with you guys but hell look at the apple lawsuits lately we seen. You only have to remotely look like a product or feel like it to get sued. the lego patent was to do with how the bricks connect if im not mistaken. The lawsuit would have obviously been about image rights. However LEGO I love them as instead of sueing they joined with Minecraft and made a set as you said. They are a shining light and companys like Apple and MS need to look at them and see how its really done.
XBL should give you 1st party exclusives like Halo armor and weapon skins or something. Ms could easily do this to sell it rather than online gaming. they don't have to give away games just DLC for there first party games and make it worth the price. I'm sure free Halo/forza etc.. DLC for the life of your subscription would sell XBL.
Obviously not everybody plays the exclusives and sticks to FIFA/Madden etc.. so they would have to make some 3rd party deals too.
IF MS took away online play with gold and gave it free NOBODY would pay for GOLD. That's a fact. So MS will NOT remove it. The fact is this whole thing could come back to bite MS in the proverbial backside once new consoles are launched as Sony reps have confirmed next console is gonna have PS+ already. Why would anybody choose the new Xbox if MS say they are still gonna charge for live?

GAME in UK did the exact same thing then wondered why they went bust.. We had 2 stores literally next door to each other!
If non trading is adding to next gen it will be the final nail in the coffin for companys like gamestop and GAME
Online is the killer like in UK I get my games from shopto for £30-£35 and get them 1-2 days before release day. Why would I goto the shop at launch day and buy for £40-£50? Not to mention on top of that shop may not have enough stock etc.. if you didn't pre-order.
We hardly know anything about the X game right now so I dont think we can rightly use that as part of an argument. Even so also we dont know if the final games gonna look anything like that (anybody remember ff13?). As for WiiU IF it was just the console without the new pad it would be a current gen console a gen 3 console but its got the new pad which is new and some could even say nex gen. So its more like a 3.5 gen console.

Activision will do this next gen you can put your money on that. You will get COD on two discs (sold separate!) one single player and one multi player. Or a subscription service. They tried it already with ELITE.
