I would say that PS3 is, at the very least, tied with 360 in worldwide sales. But GT5 will, without question, be the final nail in the coffin of 360's 2nd place position. Hang tight Xbots, its all downhill from here. And to the Sony faithful, your faith is about to finally be rewarded. Congrats!

Sony's momentum has increased significantly and in terms of actual game sales, is already selling more than Xbox 360 or Wii. And of course that's where the real profit is. So even though Microsoft and Nintendo have sold more consoles, Sony is making more money because they are selling more games.

PS3 will be the undisputed worldwide HD champion in a few months. But it doesn't end there. We have many years to go in this console generation and a lot can happen before the end. But one thing is for sure, Nintendo will not be winner when all the dust clears. Wii has been slowing considerably this year and it likely will not surpass the original Playstation.
Great article but the comparison to Gamecube and Xbox with out any mention of Dreamcast is focking criminal. PS2 is without question the all time champ but Dreamcast showed us what gaming could be with its original masterpieces like Shen Mue, Crazy Taxi and Space Channel 5. Dreamcast deserved to be mentioned.

FFVs13 may well be salvation of Square-Enix. They have pumped out so many bad games for the last 10 years that I had become convinced they had lost the magic of their glory days. It seems Mr. Nomura is the last best hope of their failing company. If he ever leaves SE, the last glimmer of talent in that once bright company will be gone.

Well it better be worth it because online is free for PC, PS3 and Wii. As for me, that's $60 a year I'd rather spend on games with free online play.

The only correct answer is Battlefield. Battlefield has grown by leaps and bounds since Battlefield 1942. It is the only series that is actually innovating instead of churning out the same old game year after year. Of course, Halo is the biggest offender, barely anything has changed between Halo 1 and Halo Reach gameplay-wise. And CoD has become stale and old hat ever since they got bought up by Activision. I prefer the DS3 to the 360 controller but the Gamecube controller is by far the best controller ever made, even if it is ugly to look at.
