Way of the Warrior is easily their worst. I never played Rings of Power. Is it any good?

It does make sense.

Maybe you don't know this, but most of those GameCube games I mentioned were originally N64 games. Why do you think they were moved to the GCN?

Because Nintendo realized they needed more than just first party games to keep their console afloat and the Gamecube is more collectible because of it.

The N64 should stand as a warning to future consoles that without 3rd party exclusives, your console will be worth much less...

I have a lot of problems with the console but that is one thing I did like on the N64. Those AKI wrestling games were so good. They are still better than current wrestling games.

There's a guy on Steam greenlight that's trying to recreate those AKI games for the PC. Its called Pro Wrestling X and it looks amazing. Can't wait for it's release!

Because I tell the truth? Because I tell it like it is?

I really WANTED to love the N64. I really did. I saved up the money and waited in line at Walmart on September 29, 1996 to buy one. I've never been so disappointed in Nintendo in my life.

I've never been able to trust them since. Sure those couple of games I mentioned above were great but a console deserves more.

I LOVED the SNES and I remember being an N64 fanatic back in 1996. I remember the Killer Instinct arcade game hyping the "Ultra Nintendo 64" and I truly believed the graphics would look that good on a home console.

Boy, was I in for a slap in the face. They were so blurry! They're just hard to look at to a PC gamer like me. The controller was awful. The joystick went limp after 2 months of play. The audio was lame compared to the CD quality audio the Saturn and...

Last summer I went on a Shining Force binge and played

SF on GBA
SF II on Genesis
SFCD on Sega CD
and then the fan translation of SF III (all 3 scenarios)on my mod chipped Saturn

in that order.

BEST SUMMER OF GAMING EVER!!!

How did this series die? It's a damn shame and I can only blame Sega. SF fans deserved better.

Shine on, SF fans.

Shine Forever.

What I can't understand is, why do we have to pay for this? The Tanker Chapter from MGS2 was given out on free demo discs back in March 2001.

Now, 13 years later, they charge us $30 for the same type of demo. Is Konami hurting THAT badly for funds that they have to fleece their fans for a demo?

I'm extremely excited for the full game but this is ridiculous.

The real problem is you would need a fully destructible open world game where you could fly into outer space and even under the ocean. You would need to be able to knock down buildings and "change the course of mighty rivers" and all that.

Does anyone know of a game engine that can do all that? Even the almighty Frostbite 3 engine can't do that yet. Technology just hasn't caught up to Superman. Maybe in 5 years or so but a Superman game like that is the holy...

Well, if you wanted to show similarity to a generation you should have chosen the 4th gen. Here's why:

SNES (PS4) and Genesis (XB1) were very close at first but SNES ended up winning by selling 1/5 more consoles. Genesis was dragged down by terrible add-ons (Kinect). The Turbografx-16 (Wii U) was way in last place. Gameboy (3DS) was way ahead of GameGear (PS Vita).

Just sayin...

There are lots of holes in this comparison:

1. Where's Sega? There is no Sega Console as an analogue to the Dreamcast

2. Release date. PS2 and Xbox released a year apart. PS4 and XB1 launched one week apart. GameCube released along side Xbox but Wii U released a year before PS4 and XB1.

3. Price. PS2 was the same price as the Xbox. PS4 is $100 cheaper than XB1.

4. Killer apps. Dreamcast had SoulCalibur. Xbox had Halo: CE....

I hope he never makes another game. Period.

We already have boatloads of generic grey and brown shooters starring meat-heads with personalities like sandpaper. If I ever see another game like that again, it will be too soon.

Please, Cliffy. Stop inflicting your awful ugly shooters on us!

Who the hell cares?

It's a video game.

And atheists make up a tiny fraction of the world's population anyway. The only reason this article was written is because his website needs hits and another whiny, thin skinned atheist feels slightly offended and/or threatened by something that is completely inconsequential.

As others have said before, an atheist's primary export is large quantities of whining.

I'm a lifelong Superman fan and I would LOVE a great Superman game but the reality is that at this point in time, its simply not possible.

Here's why:

A great Superman game needs a fully destructible open world game engine. No such thing exists yet.

The closest thing is DICE's Frostbite engine used in Battlefield 4. But even that engine cannot do full destructibility, just pre-scripted destruction. We need to be able to punch vill...

Oh come on, after M$'s anti-consumer policies were revealed I seriously doubt the Xbone will sell lifetime more than the Wii U. Xbone is in dead last place and its going to stay there for the rest of this generation.

What kind of fool buys a gaming machine that is overpriced, anti-consumer and has almost no exclusives?

I'm an omnigamer and I buy every console (eventually) but even I wouldn't touch the Xbone with a ten foot pole. If Microsoft los...

It might as well be exclusive because I don't know even one person that has even the slightest interest in Xbox One after Microsoft's past year. Who cares if a tiny fraction of Xbots get the game if 90% or more of gamers buy it on PS4.

You think you're OCD? I'm WAY worse than you. I don't trust anyone on Ebay. 90% of them are evil. 9% are ignorant and 1% are both. I only buy used games at flea markets, thrift stores and resellers where I can inspect the discs or cartridges in person and make sure the case and manual are up to snuff.

It takes me longer to check off my list but at least I don't get ripped off. Those trolls on Ebay are ruining e-commerce. And I like to actually go hunting for m...

Yeah I thought about that game but it wasn't open world. It had small chunks of a world that you could destroy stuff in. But you would have to load another area if you left.

What I'm talking about would be like GTA with Red Faction's destruction + landscape destruction. It's just not possible with current technology. Maybe Frostbite 4 could handle it. But it's a ways off.

Also, to all the people saying Superman is too powerful or undefina...

The biggest obstacle to a great Superman game is that we need a game engine that can support fully destructible open worlds and as far as I know, no such game engine exists. The closest thing would be DICE's Frostbite engine but even that was not designed for full destruction, just scripted "levelution" if certain parameters are met.

Superman requires a truly NEXT next-gen game engine. He is "lighting the way" but we just can't "join him in t...
