I'm of the same mindset.
The sooner they finish SMT X FE the sooner we get the next official Fire Emblem game. And with the success of Awakening, I think the next FE will be the boldest and greatest game yet.
We need more Advance Wars too. This Code Name: Steam game looks great but the sooner they get back to Advance Wars, the better.
I agree that most consoles aren't worth it on day one. But not all.

I can't understand what all the hooplah is about Titanfall. The user reviews on MetaCritic are saying it's very average whether you buy it on PC, 360 or XBone. Do you guys know how many Mechwarrior clones are out there? What's so special about Titanfall? Graphically, it doesn't even compare to Hawken and that game is free to play! Why spend $60 on Titanfall?

Well actually...
the developer of Tenchu (Acquire), did make a spiritual successor called Shinobido for the PSP and PSVita. I haven't played any of them yet but supposedly From Software bought the rights to Tenchu so Acquire created Shinobido to continue making ninja stealth games.
Are you saying you never heard of Tenchu before? I first discovered Tenchu a few months before the first MGS released and I remember thinking that MGS was like a modern day Tenchu game.
The first 3 Tenchu games were some of the best stealth action games I have ever played. Unfortunately, the series eventually became half baked. But the first 3 games still hold up quite well, IMO.
Yeah, when they first announced Metal Gear Solid: Rising, I was thinking it would be more like Tenchu: Lots of sneaky action with gadgets and stealth kills followed by a boss fight that required well timed attacks to win.
What we ended up getting was a weird, over the top, mindless action game with a story so crazy that it makes your typical MGS plot look slow and mundane. And considering how crazy a typical MGS plot is, that's saying something.

I can understand preordering a console or maybe a very obscure game that most retailers wouldn't usually carry but preordering a big title like Titanfall of Infamous is a big joke. There will literally be millions of copies sold so there is almost no chance you won't be able to get it on launch day. And best of all you can just wait a month and find lots of used copies for cheaper.

Skyward Sword came out a full year before the Wii U and Xenoblade came out 6 months before not after the Wii U and Europe got it sooner than that. Halo 4 was released a full year before the XBone. My point still stands.
Find me one exclusive game from either Microsoft or Nintendo that released more than a year after the next gen console was released. You can't do it. Sony can and did.

There is nothing campy about the Wiseman's Committee. Sure it's very tin foil hat and there are moments of weirdness in the series. But I've always seen the series as being more serious than goofy.

Watch just about any cutscene with shooting in it. Not even Max Payne had this much bullet time.
Hell, this game had what can only be described as "Missile time" when Snake freakin' jumps on a missile while it's in flight during the helicopter battle and uses it to get a boost up to shoot the Hind. Watch the ridiculousness:

The Twin Snakes was a disaster for MGS fans.
It turned Metal Gear into a freakin' Matrix movie with way too much bullet time crap. If Snake could do all those crazy moves why the hell would he bother sneaking around? Add in the awful change in voice actors and the overly nerfed difficulty and you've got a recipe for epic fail.
