They would probably... keep doing what they had always been doing:
Namely, releasing terrible unwanted addons (like the 32X) to existing consoles, make crappy short battery life handhelds (like the Game Gear and Nomad) and cornering the sports game market. Leaving all the really great games in Japan (WHY?!?!?!?!), releasing lots of childish fanboy ads (Genesis does what Nintendon't!) add a little Michael Jackson to taste and serve.
I grew up a Sega fanbo...
I've always disliked this series ever since the buggy, almost unplayable original game. For the longest time, I couldn't put my finger on what exactly I hated about it. The retarded story, the repetitive missions, the terrible combat mechanics, the broken AI. There was so much wrong with the game but they were all symptoms of something bigger.
And then I played Dishonered.
It did everything AC did but better and it was tons of fun to boot. And that...
Thank God for the 3DS and it's epic JRPGs. I don't know how I'd survive this turn based drought without Bravely Default and Fire Emblem: Awakening. This year we had Code Name S.T.E.A.M. and now SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is out!
I keep hoping that the sales on 3DS will get Nintendo to start making turn based JRPGs on the Wii U but so far, Xenoblade Chronicles X and SMT X Fire Emblem is the closest we have. It's better than nothing, but what I want is...
I used to SO hyped for this game... but after 9 years, I've moved on.
There are so many JRPGs that have kept me busy in the mean time and frankly, I think the final product will be average to disappointing. I'm much more hyped for the next Level 5 or Mistwalker game than I ever will be for a Square-Enix game. When was the last good Final Fantasy game? A decade ago? More? Waiting for this game is like all those Blizzard fanboys waiting for Starcraft Ghost. As far as I...
It's easy to be cynical and say it would be another crappy licensed game but then I think of power suit Batman punching Superman through a wall and I get goosebumps.
Fully destructible open world super hero game... In my mind that is the ultimate video game.
Once that is achieved, the gaming industry will be fresh out of innovations.
But for the moment, I'd be happy with BvS DLC for Arkham Knight.
@funkybudda
Whether they are optimized or not, my gaming PC is more than capable of running them well. I'm currently playing MKX at 120fps and it is glorious. 32GB of RAM will make any game run well. Never been a Dead or Alive fan. Don't really like AssCreed either. What is the appeal of AC anyway? Dishonored does everything AC does but better.

Of all the reasons to own a gaming PC, resolution is the weakest. Why not mention mod support or multiple control configurations? How about Steam sales? Or, I don't know, the exclusives:
Pillars of Eternity
Kerbal Space Program
Crypt of the NecroDancer
Out of the Park Baseball
Cities: Skylines
Homeworld Remastered
Elite Dangerous
This War of Mine
The Legend of Grimrock 1 & 2
Civilization 5
...
If you haven't played the first game yet, you have no one to blame but yourself.
It released on the highest selling home console of last gen (Wii) and then again this year on the New 3DS. You've got no excuse to miss this masterpiece. If you want to complain that it's not on other consoles, go ahead but Monolith Soft is owned by Nintendo. What else were you expecting?
FFXV began life as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and was announced in 2006.
2006...
That's 9 years ago, bud.

That's great cause I've got a copy of Duke Nukem Forever and after 13 years of development, it totally didn't live up to expectations.
I wonder how disastrous FFXV turns out to be? I can't imagine anything worse than FFXIII but then again Square Enix has a history of making sequels that suck ass even worse than the last game.
When was the last good Final Fantasy game? A decade ago? 15 years? I've moved on to better RPGs from better devel...
Honestly... who cares at this point? It's been 9 YEARS!!! As far as I can tell, it's all just vaporware/tech demo.
IF the game ever does release, (which is a BIG if) THEN I'll form an opinion about it's cast. At this point, I might as well write an article about my concern that Half Life 3's protagonist is too silent. Maybe when PS5 is out they'll finally announce a release date.
Its a giant nothing burger.
Usually with licensed games, the game is good ONLY if it comes out a year or more AFTER the film. There are a few exceptions though. Spider-Man 2, the Toy Story games and Chronicles of Riddick launched with the respective film. But that's not the case with most of the others:
Disney's Aladdin (Genesis) - 1 year later
GoldenEye 007 - 2 years later
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (contained the 1st two movies' plots) - 1 year later
The Warr...
If Konami wanted another ZoE, they could have had someone ELSE do it. It didn't have to be Kojima. This was part of the reason why I hate Konami so much now. They were WAY too overly reliant on Kojima. If Kojima wasn't doing it, they wouldn't do it at all. Even if it was amazing and had plenty of fan support.
I wasn't counting downloadable Contra games. If it's downloadable, that means that Konami had no faith in it.
I was under the impre...
I'm sorry to hear about this but... a wise man once said... The best revenge is living well.
Killing yourself just lets the bullies know that they won. Now they'll just go do it to someone else.
While I could go on about Metal Gear, Contra, TMNT and Snatcher...
Suikoden II will be forever the greatest game Konami made in my eyes. I didn't even play it till a few years ago, but now IMO, it's the strongest work they ever produced. That said, BURN IN HELL, Konami!!!
Your negligence with your franchises is unforgivable. Killing ZoE before it's time. No home console Contra for 11 years. running Silent hill into the ground. The fact that we hav...
Why limit yourself to one console?
Last gen, the Wii had a bunch of JRPGs. If I only owned a PS3, I'd have missed out on:
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
The Last Story
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Little King's Story
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Super Paper Mario
and most importantly, Xenoblade Chronicles
The Xbox 360 had:
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Tales of Vesperia
Well it already moved me to buy a Wii U.
As soon as I finished the first Xenoblade, I immediately went online to see if there was any hope for a sequel. Finding out that the sequel was almost ready for release was the best news I'd gotten in years. We still don't have a US release date yet but until then, I'll be playing the Wii U's greatest hits: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2.
Seeing as this is the ONE ...
With all the useless HD collections of late, why can't we get an HD collection of KotOR 1 & 2. These games deserve it more than most.
Which is why Xenoblade Chronicles X is going to be the best Wii U title of the year. Maybe even best JRPG of the year.
Did people just have collective amnesia and forget about Injustice? Best Superhero (and Super Villain) game ever!
Never mind the fact that the Batman Arkham games are GOTY material and there have been awesome superhero games in the past like Deadpool, Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Spider-Man 2. Going back even farther there were awesome arcade games like The Punisher and X-Men. Not to mention the TMNT ga...
