This game is a third person shooter. It's all about blowing stuff up and it does look really great in the level of detail to destroy things in this game.
The other two Red Faction games were on PS2 and at their time got good reviews. Those were first person shooters, but for this game they went into third person to help with buildings not collapsing on you as you played.
It has both single player and multiplayer. It def. looks like it has potential to be a solid game...
If it was pay to play for 5 dollars a month so you could have dedicated servers then I would pay the fee. Why? How much of the times you think or scream, "WTF," on games like COD, Gears of War, etc is due to lag? Or you KNOW you shot a guy point blank but the shot doesn't register just because he is host and has that slight advantage to be a split second ahead of you so that you shot where he was not where he is now.

The outfit looks awesome. A little more armor clad style is a good eye candy improvement. Smart choice to hide the front too so we can't see what the new ancestor will look like. I personally hope it's still just like Altair, but with a scar or two on the face. Nothing over the top with the scar, but subtle to add a little more fierceness to the character.

I held onto my copy of RE5 in case this content of 5 bucks is going to be awesome. If it isn't then I can finally go trade the game in at Gamestop seeing as how I had the Platinum trophy for it in just a few short days.

The best game so far in my book for morality was Mass Effect.
I started the game out with the intention of being good. Throughout the game it gives you so many situations where decisions that seem good can turn out to be bad. It also delivers tough choices even if you want to be good where you have to make an ultimately evil or selfish decision.

The best thing Gears3 can borrow from Killzone 2 is dedicated servers. 90% of the mess that is Gears 2 is a result of no dedicated servers.
I let it slide back on Gears1, because dedicated servers hadn't hit enough momentum that even casual gamers should know about it now, but I've had even the casual game crowd on Xbox Live use that term commonly now.

I've got some hopes, but nothing major.
Tri-Ace developed my favorite game of all time to this date and time which is Star Ocean: The Second Story. Everything after is nowhere near the same quality. Even the remake of SO2 for PSP was butchered with horrible voice acting. They even took the original voices and threw them out completely which were stellar.
Last Hope shattered my last hopes as well for the Star Ocean series as a whole. 3 killed it and 4 defecated on it....
I'm at the point now as a consumer where once an idea comes to fruition that completely dominates the old method that I don't want to devolve back to the old.
With that said dedicated servers is the present peak for optimal MP fun for games. If a developer doesn't have it, then they don't care about the consumer and are just out to make a quick buck.
If IW doesn't have dedicated servers then I won't even give this game a rental.

I've been playing the crud out of this game. I wasn't even going to buy it at first since I already have Killzone 2 and Star Ocean 4 to play, but I read up on DLC to add more multiplayer things to spice up replay value so I felt why not?
THE BAD:
1) Load Screens after load screens. There is too many and although fairly short will completely take you out of any tension this game COULD build up.

There is one way to make something unhackable in terms of consoles. If the console is tampered with, make a program auto fry everything in the console. If someone tries to remove that file that can do that to people who tamper with it, then make it auto do it.
Why would you tamper with something that blows up right? :D
Words cannot describe how amazing this game is if you are a fan of shooters.

The big thing about this controller is that it's almost a cheat for a game like Killzone 2. Why?
The controller comes with the ability to extremely jack up sensetivies. If you could crank that sensitivity past the max amount even the game is limited too, then you are cheating. Plain and simple. You are using a third party device to make yourself faster than anyone else in a game can.

Gear 2 multiplayer stinks because:
1) No dedicated servers
2) Host is randomly picked, so it can be the kid with 56K dial up
3) Unbalanced. Chainsaw over powered, melee over used, smokes r a joke
4) Standbying on routers.
5) Rank up system does NOT put you on equal terms team wise
6) Plenty of games I joined were already 3vs5 or worse in a lobby
7) I can't pick the exact game type I want to play. Warzone only plz.

I ended up watching it, and there's a few times I just had to mute it and look away fast, because yes it does attract spoilers to it.
To add to it, this review was mediocre. The journalist really can't just play THIS game for what it IS. He is constantly comparing it to other shooters, and even going so far as to say the train scene near the end of the game is ripped off of Gears of War 1. He mentions the game is just like Rainbow Six Vegas and COD.

This game has massive potential. I just hope it has more addictiveness than Killzone 2 did for me. Killzone 2 for me merits like a 9.5 out of 10, and that .5 mark off is simply boredom in playing it online now. There isn't a carrot at the end of the stick for me anymore once I got the Platinum trophy.
Sounds odd, but a 10 thousand online kills trophy/achivement or hundreds of ranks to keep going through will keep me there just for small internet bragging rights amongst friends lo...
