As the PS3 RPG library goes so will the massive sales in PS3's.
White Knight Chronicles
Demon's Souls
Cross Edge
Valkyria Chronicles
Disgaea 3
That's about it for RPGs that matter I guess in Japan RIGHT now. Soon they'll have:
Tales of Vesparia
FF13
FFVersus 13
Grandia Online
End of Eternity
That's 5 pretty solid PS3 RPG games that will sell consoles for the Japanese market.
Most people are nay sayers to this game around the net till they play the demo themselves. If you aren't even remotely interested it's still worth your time, because you will come away pleasantly surprised folks.
I'm personally going to wait on the reviews to see how the MP fairs in the final product and if it's good then I will make sure to pick up a copy when it releases. Otherwise it merits itself a rental since the SP automatically is lots of fun.
It's for sure not a good thing it is so noisy. I have to crank my TV higher to hear at normal intervals which then will cause my roommate at later hours to come in and yell at me to turn down the TV. Eventually I pointed out to him I don't have the volume up high and then it dawned on me that the 360 really was drowning out enough sound from the game and caused this problem to tick him off.

Good luck to it selling well there. I'll be kind of intrigued when the day comes when some FPS or TPS sells insane amounts in Japan that was made by a Western Developer. It'll be interesting to see what the scenario needs to be to impress the Japanese man/woman gamer. Killzone 2 has graphics, sound, gunplay, amazing multiplayer, etc like we've all heard and played, but is that enough to make them see it in that light too?
Until Microsoft gets a hold of more First party developers who are given 4-5 years to develop a game/engine along with it you won't see the 360 being pushed what Gears has done.
PS3 has a giant chunk of first party developers under Sony who are given 4-5 years to dish out an engine and a great game to boot with it. Once they have it out they can make a sequel that uses that engine and will only take them 2-3 years for a game sequel that looks better.

I'm so glad to have read comments about how others thought the SO3 plot twist was a joke. Not often I come into any contact of people who played it let alone finished it to know it was a waste of time once you hit that Matrix BS twist. The plot was so engrossing up to that point then it just plummets. It's the same way in SO4. Story starts of good and slowly snowballs into crap territory and its predictable too.
SO4's battle system is by far the best in the whole series and is a ...
It's always funny when you own someone like that online and teabag them. More racism will spew from their mouth, but you inflicted damage on their fragile egos that revolve around games.
Teabagging someone who is in or thinks they are in MLG is 1000X funnier than even a random racist, because their whole fabric of being is shattered lol.
When it comes I'll be all over it. Grandia 1 and 2 are still two of my favorite RPGs ever. I bought a Dreamcast back in the day JUST to play Grandia 2 when it was released.(Then it was not mentioned it would be on PS2 later)
I hadn't even heard of this up until now, but I'm glad I heard about it. Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, and Grandia MMO will be three PS3 RPGs with online multiplayer that rock socks. Hope this gets a release date at E3 or some solid footage.
inFAMOUS is lucky to not have been hit hard with over hype and can be just a game; not jesus' second coming in pixel form. Too much stuff gets over praised or over exposed or over scrutinized with the internet getting a hold of it.
That's how we have our classics that are now the best of all times. inFAMOUS has real potential to be a great game for those who play it, but again if it is, then the tides will turn against Sony once more for lack of advertisement.

If I was Nintendo I'd announce a brand new system with tech specs past 360 and PS3 lol. That way Nintendo can use its huge profits to help push the game industry forward instead of nursing it in the kiddy corner for god sakes.
I want Sony to come out with a few RPGs from PS1/PS2 era getting reboots. Suikoden on PS3, Legend of Dragoon on PS3, and maybe even a new Chrono game at last.
Xbox needs anything that isn't Halo 3 ODST fluffing. Sorry I'm not a fan. Maybe a big...
As an owner of all 3 consoles I'm pro for all of them doing well in whatever they do.
I lean myself more towards Sony as my gaming needs have been looked after by Sony with their titles and the machines capabilities also. That's not to say 360 and Wii haven't given me games I've enjoyed or features on each I think are great.
Of course to be fair all 3 suffer in some way when compared to the other.
As far as the actual companies behind the product none of...
MGS4 is the perfect example still to this date in this console generation of pushing all aspects of a game to its limit.
That single game, which so many of you HAVE NOT gotten to play and would gladly rip on it since you haven't is what will keep other developers pushing themselves to make better games for us.
That game being able to fit that much on 1 disc of anything to me is phenomenal because is brings out the very BEST videogames have to offer. I own all the con...
I didn't like the first one. I didn't like it so much so that it's the only game I can think of in the past few years I stopped playing after 2 hours.
The second will have to be a tremendous step forward for me to even rent it let alone buy it.
Games I'd buy off PSN if added:
Legend of Dragoon
FF7,8,9,Tactics(Glad 7 is headed its way)
Suikoden 2
Lunar
Lunar 2
Alundra
MGS 1 (Glad this is one)
Grandia 1
Star Ocean: The Second Story(Remake on PSP was a joke)
Valkyrie Profile
Xenogears
Chrono Cross
Persona 2
Megaman Legends
Legend of Mana
I'm sure I could think of more if given the time, but that list would suffice for draining my wall...
I really do hope we get some Ace Up The Sleeve titles for our 360's announced at E3 this year with a 2009 release date. I'm not a Halo guy, and so it'd have to be a release for the next Splinter Cell being in Nov-Dec 2009 for me to be pleased.
I won't front that Sony has me in their corner right now, because they have been giving me what I want---GAMES and lots of them that I can't get anywhere else. I kind of hope Nintendo will come out with a new Metroid at E3 or a Paper Mario ...
Owning all 3 consoles if money isn't an issue for you---get a PS3.
360 has 33% failure rate. Only two exclusives people clamor too, yet aren't that fun to play.(Gears/Halo)
Plus my 360 likes to make the room I play in about 20 degrees hotter. This is NOT a joke. It WILL heat up the room you play in, but the PS3 is cool and SILENT.
PS3 is also the console FF13 is being designed for first in mind. Plus check this:
PS3s current exlusive line up...
I really do hate spring/summer. Game releases are just abysmal.
It's about the games? No it's about the price. Consumers either A) don't know about RROD at all or B) believe they will be one of the lucky ones to never experience it.
It has 1% to do with the 360's game line up which exclusive wise consists of Gears and Halo---neither of which are the best multiplayer experience someone could be having right now online. COD4, COD WaW, Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2, Battlefield Bad Company, and that's all just multiplatform games worth your time more th...
Home would've been great if it was mandatory without loading issues. If every time you loaded up your PS3 it was automatically in your house at Home, with themes wallpapers you downloaded as your actual wallpaper in your house, full of trophies/rewards you unlocked from games you played, with your avatar there---it'd be great.
You could put all the things XMB has in your house in Home and presto no more need for that interface. It'd be a much more slick approach, and having frien...
Then you didn't play the Metal Gear Solid series huh?
As far as deep, long, and connected stories go that series is the best. I'd go so far as to say that MGS4's story alone is better than most big name movies on how well it is done.
I could discuss that game for hours on hours end on how much is done well and things people miss to take notice of in that game. Most story lines the "bad guy" always has some dumb plan or even a good one, but they never get aw...
