Comparing apples to apples with inflation adjusted numbers, it is not high relative to history. (The jump to $60 in 2005-2006 was much larger proportionally) However, compared to where the industry is today with the plethora of FTP, Game Pass etc I do believe it to be too high. That being said, you can wait just a few weeks and buy the game on eBay for more like $50-55. It just takes a little patience.
I liked Killzone. KZ1 went through so much crap from its first E3 trailer, and it kind of hurt the IP forever unfortunately, but it was a good game until Shadowfall. However, I would also like GG to launch a new IP even if its another shooter. I think a fresh start would be creatively productive and would shake off the ghosts of bad PR that Killzone was saddled with.
Campaign yes. But Halo 4 multiplayer was garbage and 5 is miles better.
Yea because it looks fake and spammy to do it (sharing the links). People can find their own restock sources if they want.
I started playing Sea of Thieves yesterday, only did the Maiden voyage tutorial but my gosh is it boring so far. Going to keep going of course, not fair to judge on the tutorial. But not sure what the hype is about yet.
You think Eastern Europe is a greater paradise? Good luck
I’m a playstation fan myself and I thought it looked like a lot of fun. Not something I personally would buy an Xbox for, but fun.
At least with Apple you could argue there is an effective duopoly, but it’s going to be hard to argue that there is a lack of options on which platform someone uses to play games. Especially with the expansion of cross platform play and the fact that some PS exclusives are coming or have gone to PC, not to mention anyone can buy games in a retail channel rather than PSN if they so choose. This case has no merit.
No it wasn’t, but it disagreed with the agenda and must be punished or else others may agree with her.
The only game in the recent era that was good (setting aside games where they merely provided assistance such as Demon Souls) was Astrobot. And the devs behind Astrobot are sticking around and doubling down on the property. Other than for the employees who are let go, this has no meaningful impact.
Then people would have complained about the extremely slight decrease in battery life for backlighting buttons.
Did you assume otherwise? The game is called Starfield. Pretty clear the aesthetic.
Amazon has the preorders up now. And they’re all gone. At least for digital.
Sony will have their own preorders though lol
Global Nov 20, but North America on Nov 13 to make sure they focus their jump start in that territory. It’s Microsoft’s strongest area (and the only one where they are at least competitive in unit sales) so it’s in Sony’s interest not to let them jump out to an early lead.
Not true. There are far more factors than just price that parents and “non tech savvy” consumers look for. There have been several lower priced consoles that have failed to be top sellers, including the Wii U and Xbox One (eventually after dropping Kinect).
It’s not really “amazing” value. It’s a cut on virtually every single spec form XSX/PS5 and still priced higher than last gen. That’s not to say it is priced poorly. But amazing value? Kind of hyperbolic. It’s priced exactly as you would expect commensurate with a less capable console.
Okay but honestly the people who cannot afford 4k at this point probably can’t afford a $299 console either. 4k is not that expensive anymore. Good 4k with HDR etc is a different story.
Nothing will ever change for Madden fans if they keep stupidly buying the game every year
In addition to game budgets being higher (which they certainly are), the consumer base for games is much larger also. Thus you have a higher pool of gamers you can sell to. There are also more opportunities for additional revenues today such as DLC or cosmetics upgrades. So the argument from some companies that its solely due to cost increases is a bit disingenuous.
