@LaChance - If that was indeed true, then the story wouldn't have gotten approved. Looked at it, and he is using figures from insidegamer.nl, who appear to have got the info from two retailers. So he's not pulled it out of nowhere.
With that said, EU is PlayStation territory, they're bound to be ahead. It's only UK that leans towards Xbox.
Maybe MS just sees it as, people who pay for Gold are more likely to want to use this service? Plus, stuff like SmartMatch wouldn't work at all because you need to be able to play online for it to actually work.
I'm not too bothered about it tbh, because more than likely I won't ever try and connect online with the Xbone apart from the initial update. Game DVR behind the pay wall is a bit of a pain, because I feel like that would be a useful feature for walkthroug...
Dude, $400 = £257 in UK, so we get ripped off even more.
@Xmarks - Simple. Using your Xbone to play your 360 games means you will have to have BOTH your Xbox 360 AND Xbone plugged in and switched on. Having each of them connected to a HDMI splitter, they will have a separate HDMI slot, so you can use your Xbox 360 without switching the Xbone on. So you are using half the electricity = More efficient.
On top of this, the HDMI IN on the XBone will still be free so you can plug your cable box in, and use the TV features. If you plug y...
@Xmarks - Ah right, you're Georgeenoob's next alternate account.
@Xmarks - So requiring you to still have your old console, is backwards compatibility and is ingenious? There is no logic in this statement. It is NOT backwards compatibility if you need your old console, you're just passing the HDMI through an obsolete device! And on top of that it would mean you can't take advantage of the TV features that MS is so proud of because the HDMI in will be in use.
I can't see how that is ingenious in any way. It's FAR easier, and...
It's the same as the PS3 currently. You can go to a friends house, login, and download the file. PS3 however, allows two people to play the game. So you could be at home playing it, and your friend could be playing it on his PS3 at the same time, on his own account.
As far as I'm aware, on PS4, Sony have changed it so it is more like what Marc is talking about, except less stuff is behind the paywall.
Anyone that believed this rumour in the first place was a complete idiot.
Learn how to use apostrophes.
This unboxing video, although might have shown some issues with the hardware design, felt very honest. So I commend MS for finally releasing a video that didn't hide any information in ambiguity. It was completely open and honest for the first time since the Xbone reveal, they even showed the power brick etc. They deserve some respect for that at the very least.
Calling it Xbox first is just stupid. Called it the original Xbox, or first Xbox...
Also 34x26x8cm (Xbone) vs 13x10.5x4 inches (Xbox). So I don't understand this quote:
"Wow! I knew Xbox One had a chance to win in the width department but height and girth I thought for sure would go to the original Xbox."
An inch is roughly 2.5cm, so Xbox specs in size would be 32.5x26.25x10cm. So the height and the depth is bigger on the origin...
@Battletorn - Phew, I've not seen a label like that on any of my electronics that I've bought that needed to be peeled off, so thought it was permanent.
LOL, so Sony made them do another 180 and they've now put a headset in the box. Looks very similar to the 360 one, and no doubt it is better than PS4's simple in-ear headset.
On another note, Kinect is HUGE, it's almost as big as the huge power brick. HOW is it THAT big?? I hope they do a Kinect-less Xbone in a few months, because that will just look stupid in front of my TV.
Console is not as big as I expected, but still about the same size as a ...

How much money?
@gekko - That sounds incredibly racist without an explanation. Although I tend to avoid anything that is American made because it is usually low quality. There are exceptions of course, and I tend to buy Japanese electronics and cars because they usually have better reliability and quality., and obviously there are exceptions here as well.
@malokevi - I think what he is trying to say is that if you encounter a hilarious glitch, and say Xbox Record, you can only go back 30 se...
You can't really get a sense of what the UI will be like from this video, seems like a different skin on the XMB, and runs relatively smoothly, but don't think the official UI is like this at all.
It Only Does Everything...Worse.
J/k
Seriously though, who didn't see this coming?
Really terrible advert. It's not sarcastic enough, and it's not funny at all. I'm assuming they won't air this on TV because it is too long, but it is soo bad. It's basically explaining to people that the gamepad is pointless.
inFAMOUS: Second Son = PS4 insta-buy. You can't get it on PS3.
