@Silent - It's only really utilised in certain sports games. I can't think of any other genre that used more than four controllers. Not actually a huge issue considering multiplayer online was way more popular this gen. I used three controllers on LBP a few times but no more.
I admit more is of course better for people who play sports games like that, but it probably doesn't affect too many people.
More than PS2??
! *imagines MGS alert sound effect*
If OR is as good as I've heard, I really really hope PS4 supports it. It is one peripheral I would definitely buy at the right price.
@Septic - I don't agree with most of what allformats said, but what I do think is true is that MS were at the very least pressured, because they delayed their initial reveal by a month. It was supposed to be in April, but it was delayed till May, and I honestly believe that was because Sony showed a lot more than MS expected, and they thought they could 1up them by producing a console shell to show off.
It didn't work...
If The Last Guardian isn't there, than nothing else matters.
pedro is right, if this was true/actually made a difference, we would have already heard about it. From MS, as well as developers, but we haven't, because it's bullshit.
@ABeast - Basically, what the Xbone does that trafalgar is talking about, is it stores your games in the "cloud". All that means is that you can download and install the game whenever you want from XBL, same as you can do on PSN right now. It is NOT a streaming service like Gaikai or Onlive.
So all "unlimited cloud storage" means is that you can buy as many digital games as you want and download/delete them whenever. Although the save storage for Xbone I ...
@Trafalgar - PS3 has 1gb of CLOUD SAVE storage. Actual game storage is unlimited, just like it is on the Xbox 360, because you can delete and download games multiple times. That is nothing new on the Xbone.
In this interview they basically confirmed that they won't make any games for Wii U, unless Nintendo moneyhats a game.
I don't understand how MS is so behind. They launched a year earlier with the 360, so should have had more time compared to Sony to develop their next console. How can they be this behind???
This is a feature that is available on 360, I can't believe that they can't get such a simple thing working?!
I actually feel sorry for them, it's not a major issue, but it's like, give us some good news already!
It's the biohazard logo if you're serious.
I have to admit when I first saw it I was like "ewwwww", but I am warming to the design now...still not going to buy one, but not as disgusted as I was before. I'd still go for the XL if I ever pulled the trigger on buying a 3DS.
Who actually said the TV stuff was behind gold? It is being passed through the console, if it was blocked, people would just return the console immediately. The most stupid thing that is supposedly behind gold is Internet Explorer. Skype is also a little stupid, but that will have some sort of server load so it's a little more understandable, but IE behind the paywall is completely moronic. Hope they 180 on that stupid decision.
This will be a security thing mainly, not too bothered about it as 500GB should be enough for a while, and I'll upgrade if it starts to run out.
Need to play with it myself, not going to trust random guy. I do remember getting blisters with Street Fighter on PS1 though, DAMN YOU down forward square, Hadouken.
1. It's not an attack.
2. Good response from Phil Spencer.
@minato - What's the amount of tax you would have to pay?
It's just a little joke, nothing like the actual shots that were fired when Andrew House was on stage at GamesCom. It's also quite a subtle joke as well tbh, most people won't even get it.
@slimey - Yeah, it basically means they will sell out in the US, but weren't going to sell out in Europe before. Most of their fanbase is in the US, I think it is 2/3, so it was very unlikely that the Xbone would not sell well. The dudebros will buy it no matter what the price, what matters is what happens after that initial first rush of sales. And that goes for both Sony and MS.
Kinda expected this date, but a bit of a weird way to announce it. They could have done it at GamesCom and at least got some respect for making the announcement by Europeans.
Also, I feel like Sony has beaten MS again here. They're releasing a week later in their home territory, and if the stock is exhausted, they will go into Black Friday with nothing to sell. I'm sure they've thought of that and tried to mitigate it, but Sony will have an extra week to sell and ...
