NY and LA are cool cities, but those settings have all been explored countless times in gaming. I think it would be better if developers take a break from them. We need new playgrounds to explore, as I think most gamers are kinda sick of NY and LA.
The author has a great idea about Salem MA (only about a 25 minute drive from Boston) being involved in some way, especially with its history of witchcraft and general supernatural weirdness.

Yep. I'm reppin' Beantown as my lifelong home turf as well. I would love to loot Nuka Cola vending Machines in a post apocalyptic decaying Fenway Park or fight off Raiders and Mutants in Harvard Square would be sweet. Cole Phelps really annoyed the shit out of me in LA Noire.. Though LA Noire was easily one of my favorite games of last year, I Hated that they made the main protagonist such a tight-collared goody-two-shoes, granted he WAS a cop, but still. He drove me nuts, the way he acted so above the law and then you find out his hypocritical secrets as the game progresses.
