YES YES YES!!!!! Condemned: Criminal Origins was fantastic, but Condemned 2 blew it out of the water! Definitley some truly scary jump-out-of-your-seat moments in there all presented in that overall dark and hopeless vibe.
I actually pulled Condemned 2 off my shelf a few weeks back to revisit it. It's still fun as hell (smashing someones face with a bowling ball never gets old), and the one thing that I feel like this game never got its dues for was its graphics. Fo...
about a year ago, I hadn't renewed my XBL account and the auto-renew charged an old credit card that expired, which then caused my XBL profile to be locked until the charges were cleared up (and just TRY to get a straight answer or a solution out of XBL customer support, i DARE you!)
Long story short, The hassle-free work around was to buy a prepaid XBL membership card and just create a new profile so I can play online with friends, use netflix, etc.. When I startd gami...
I'm not on anyone's ship to begin with.
I don't fly the flag of only one game console.
I don't make purchases based on what brand the console is.
I will buy whichever console releases with the best features and pricepoint first. A few years after the initial release when console prices drop by several hundred dollars, I will buy whichever console i didn't buy when it was released.
All this brand l...
If MS or Sony attempt to chokehold the used games industry, I will absolutely NOT upgtrade from my current consoles, unless the retail for every new game is $20-30 (which it wont be).
How is that even legal? Does that not create a monopoly of sorts? Maybe not a monopoly in the true sense of the word, but it certainly takes away consumer autonomy.
Either way, Ive got my 360 and ps3 to keep my happy well into the next realm of gaming, and perhaps beyond...
So the author is saying that “it’s the fanboys that are wrong with CoD”.. then he goes on to shamelessly troll Battlefield 3–and he says he “own Battlefield 3″, but from reading about his “experiences” with that game, it’s quite clear to me that he HAS NOT PLAYED Battlefield 3. Here are the reasons why: 1. “What vehichles?” Unless you have switched the server browser in BF3 to “infantry only,” you would have to be blind not to find a jeep, buggy, tank, helo, jet, or APC on those maps, MULTIPL...
So did Capcom just admittedly and publicly turn their backs on core gamers who want more than JUST shooting zombies?? Wow. thank's Capcom. I'll probably skip this one.. or at least rent it or borrow it.
@Pushagree, I gotta disagree dude. Resident evil 5 may have felt outdated (mostly because aside from new shiny graphics, it was old-skool gameplay). But if you had played one of the early Resident Evil's that came out on PsOne between like 1995-1999, you'd understand why it's a beloved franchise--especially to gamers who remember the 90's. Back then, RE games were scary, inventive, explorative, innovative, and...scary. Not to mention the original Resident Evil is arguably ...
Not being able to move while shooting is an old school game mechanic, and it feels especially old on current platforms (see: RE5). Given that in recent years Capcom has given us "faster" zombies, having to stand still to shoot has resulted in more than a few cheap deaths.
And not for nothin, but I think it's an immersion breaker too. In a zombie invasion, having the main character stand in one position and emotionlessly empty several pistol clips into 10 m...
Wow those are awesome :)
I'm gonna have to get back to the Vegas Wasteland.. I never finished Fallout:NV
Tips and tricks for success with BF3:
Ok, whatever you do, DONT GIVE UP ON THIS GAME!! coming from CoD, you will experience a steep learnign curve in BF3 in order to be successful.
Here are the most basic things I can think of that may help you out a bit.
1. Get used to firing in bursts. In Cod, the guns don't have much recoil, so you can happilly lay on the trigger as you pum rounds into your target. In BF3, laying on the trigger will help...
Too bad for the delay, i'm looking forward to picking this up. But I guess a may release date for Max Payne means we can officially debunk the rumor that GTA5 was possibly gonna drop in May '12. No way R* would realease those two games in the same month, less likely in the same quarter. GTA 5 will probably be out for holiday '12 if not winter/spring of 2013.
@Nexus-Night
Your right, why should you invest in a 360? How bout just stick with your ps3 and keep your ignorant troll comments to yourself.
If you are complaining that certain weapons are OP, and NOT complaining instead about broken VOIP, flashing green screens, broken squad system, occationally getting trapped in the respawn screen for the duration of a match, and falling through terrain on a handful of maps while lying prone... then you suck at battlefield. Dont blame "gun balance" for the fact that you get killed a bunch while not killing much.
The gun balance is 99% fine, The glitches are not. (wi...
Definitley MGS4! As a huge fan of the MGS series, and after saving the world from Big Boss in ever previous title (other than MGS3 and Peace walker of course, since you play as young Big Boss), the ending of that game was just EPIC!! The whole scene in the graveyard where Solid Snake and Big Boss actually have some peaceful philosophical rantings over good and evil and the meaning of life... oh and then when the camera pans away and you just hear that one gunshot. Gave me chills man!
AGENT????
The "Rock-it" Launcher in Fallout 3 - There was something very satisfying about blowing enemies into pieces by launching tin cans, teddybears, toy cars and other junk at high velocity!
Honorable mention:
*9A91 Avtomat from Battlefield:Bad Company 2
*Explosive crossbow in Farcry 2 (DLC gun)
*The USAS-12 style auto-shotgun with explosive rounds in GTAIV:The Ballad of Gay Tony
No but it will look better on Ps3 than most multiplats which are developed on other platforms then ported to ps3, right? Wasn't that the case with LA Noire and BF3? I dont own BF3 on ps3, but La Noire looked stunning on the ps3 and R*/Bondi allegedly developed that with ps3 as the lead design platform.
Either way, I think the "this multiplat looks better on this system" debate is kinda silly. Most multiplats look so closely identical on either system that an...
This seems like a flamebate article made just for hits. Speculating that one system will fizzle out before the next generation of console arrives is just stupid. Us hardcore gamers are certainlty mad at MS for neglecting us and focusing on the casual crowd, when we see Sony rewarding the hardcore crowd with tons of great exclusives, but from a "dying out" standpoint: MS sales numbers indicate the opposite.
I don't think GTA IV was a huge step backward for Rockstar, because where else could they go with the franchise? To me GTA IV is the GTA game where rockstar truly came into their own with a mature narrative and a gritty portrayal of organized crime and it's personal consequences for the games's protagonist. I felt that they were able to effectively combine that dark, gritty story and narrative element with their trademark toungue-in-cheek satire of modern western culture. I've...
Ya know..I kinda agree with you and I kinda don't.
I would be pissed if a group of hackers like Anonymous crippled my enjoyment of Xbox live or something like that.
While I don't support hacking and pirating and things of that nature, If these multi-billion dollar corporations start making their own rules that pretty much ruin an open market and call into question fair market ethics for the average consumer... then I think someone has to stick it to them....
