No, actually, it won't, it'll take much more than third person perspective to distinguish something this year. People see this thing and will think "yet another shooter".

Plus, they may go FPS. GRAW was an FPS on the PC and FPS is the industry flavor of the year for 2010.

Not that I'm complaining, it's my fave genre. I may very well buy every single one of those games. :) I think the TC brand will give it a little clout, esp if SC: conviction does well.

Bubbles: If you don't like LBP, you're a moron. Most things like this are a matter of opinion but LBP is so undeniably awesome and brilliant that this has crossed over from opinion to FACT. :)

MM created a wonderful software toy/game/community/play system all rolled into one. It's an Epic milestone in gaming, IMHO. Anyone who can't see its importance is either deluded or hasn't spent enough time digging into it.

That said, I thought they might just keep extending it...

+1. A lot of the incessant haters come off like people who are over competitive and ragepost every time they get killed. Because, you know, with their 1337 gaming skillz it couldn't just be that they are having trouble adapting to what their opponents are doing in the new version of the franchise. It must be the game/IW's fault.

MW2 is a victim of its own popularity in hardcore gamer circles, meanwhile, everyone else is busy enjoying the heck out of a great ride.

You drank the bong water again, didn't you?

You know, I've been playing God of War Collection and it drives me bonkers that there is no camera control. I know this will butthurt the fanboys but it really feels very "last gen" to not have any control over the camera. That made perfect sense in the PS2 days but I'm so *used* to having control of the camera on my modern games that it is actually pretty sucky/frustrating and feels very antiquated.

Even a "shifted" thing, say press down L3 and the R stick co...

OP: Were you trying to make some kind of point? LOL.

Given that they were dumb enough to release a freaking DOA demo, I'm thinking this has "rent before buying" written all over it.

One decent review does not mean the game can't completely suck. LOL. Definitely need more data.

It's funny all of you guys jabbering about team this and that and why BC2 is "superior" sound like the MAG players did when they were getting hyped for its release, yet I recognize some of you dudes doing this as MAG haters. Go figure. :-/

@witchking:
Dumb but serious question: If you feel that way why did you stop playing CoD4? Did you just get tired of it, or is there another reason? You noted that it was possibly your favorite game ever and that MW2 is not as good for you... do people not play CoD4 anymore? (I honestly don't know).

total agreement.

One thing the Wii, DS, and PSP have proven to me is that a great game can be made into a coaster with a retarded/inappropriate controller mapping. A lot of DS and Wii games are completely gimped by devs forcing users to use their gimmicky controls (motion, touch screen) in lieu of something that would actually work correctly.

I honestly can't believe I'm the only person who had enough sense to do a search on the B&N www site and realize this is the guide book and all of the software versions are preo-ordering at retail prices (yes, even the PC version).

5837d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Congratulations, you just preordered the Battlefield Bad Company 2 GUIDE BOOK for the standard price of $19.95. (rolleyes).

Learn how to use the search: Type Battlefield and all of the software pre-orders come up at full price along with the $20 guide book that the retard who wrote the original article linked to (and you subsequently ordered).

While I'm impressed with some of the positive reviews this game is getting, it is still begging for a demo (I'm in NA and do not have a Euro acct) or a rental (I have gamefly so will probably go that route) before I'm committing 60 smackers to it.

I hope the most accuracy adjustments are for the sniper LMGs, as a Raven, if my AR is less accurate, I'm screwed. :) That's the only advantage Raven's ARs really have and I'm a commando not a marksman! :)

+1. Great news! :)

I could see Sony subsidizing development costs, possibly.... They've helped encourage developers to do some PSP ports in the last year or so to bolster the PSP3000 and to help ensure new titles would appear for the Go.

I sure hope they do. Outside of GRAW, there are no really "modern combat" style FPSs for the PSP. They're all WW2.

I want a PSP version, too! :) The Tom Clancy shooters (GRAW and R6) they did do for it were underrated on the PSP! R6V is one of my fave PSP games.

You know, I can't help but feel EA should have released the Arena mode as a program feature at release rather than as an add-on. A lot of the reviews are panning Dante for it's unoriginal gameplay and the DLC is a new game mode that is not common in this genre and would make the game appear a little more original and stand out with such stiff competition on this game category this year.

I really think the DLC for this title feels like a money grab by EA. It's hard to justify lay...

I don't want the game to fail. BUT I'm really pretty hesitant to get my hopes set way too high about a "choose your own adventure" movie. It's either going to be amazing or completely lame for me, I'll bet. I'll bet a lot of people feel similarly and expressing your concerns or thinking that something might be overambitious shouldn't be seen as WANTING something to fail.

You know, I love MAG and have played the fanboy here for it in other threads but "Enjoyable but intimidating" and "lacking polish" are both fair criticisms.

Zippers docs and training mode, given the game's differences from twitch FPSs are criminally atrocious. And I'm a FAN of this game, mind you.

It makes the game feel unfinished and given it's complete pwnage of tactical FPS n00bs it's one of the reasons this game is not as well received as it ...
