I'm trying to envision how bored I'd have to be to be willing to buy 15 year old non-translated Japanese Playstation One games on a PS3 but I just keep bumping up against the limits of the human imagination.
Actually, obesity and lack of exercise are not tightly coupled. Pretty much all of the recent data has indicated that the idea that exercise is a strict requirement for weight loss is not valid.
Exercise IS correlated with general wellness and endurance but you'd think she'd have enough sense/good enough trainers to properly debrief her on the topic such that she could make an accurate distinction wrt obesity. Or maybe she's being a disingenuous politico.
Games have always been difficult to generalize from a development standpoint, because they tend to benefit the most from bleeding edge hardware. They've resisted homogenization even now, when everything else about computing has become pretty much generic/platform independent and I think there's a reason for this...
Even if your phone can do OpenGL through it's browser/HTML5, are you really going to need want 6-10Gb of texture data for the 3D worlds there? How is t...
Exactly. "Duke" is one of the most retardedly one dimensional cardboard main characters ever invented for a game and that's saying a lot. His "personality" is basically a bunch of lifted movie one liners delivered by a bad Clint Eastwood impersonator.
We can only hope that the companies involved will find a way to fix their mistake of accidentally providing tremendous value to their customers.
FWIW, I think Pachter has a point here, too. Unlike some, I've continued to BUY great single player games and SIMPLY NOT PLAY them very much, but I've recently told myself, I'm no longer buying games I KNOW I'm not going to play...
Example: I hadn't gotten to play anything for almost 2 weeks and finally had some downtime so I wanted to play some games... With so much downtime I reached for:
Good old BFBC2 from March 2010, picking it over ...
@Ve3tro: You say that like it's a BAD thing? LOL!
No, that can't be right... EVERYONE knows there are no good new games coming out for PSP. LOL!
But seriously, this is looking like a must buy title for PSP owners who love the RPGs.
Really, I'm surprised because Activision are so hated and COD is such an easy target, but I'd have to agree. The more I see about Black Ops (Zombie mode, Bots, No more nuke kill streak, dogs, RC) makes me want it more.
The more I see regarding MOH, the less compelling it seems. The DICE BFBC2 engine does not seem to be used to its best effect as a MW2 knock off, it seems, and the MP game-play looks undistinguished. The single player still has potential but the market...
It'll certainly still require the UMD in the drive but this is a nice feature to reduce load times.
+1. Nice to see Treyarch trying to step up their game and fille in as the Tier 1 COD dev now that IW has been raped by Activision.
Get over yourself, Stan. Bot modes are great fun for when the server is down/the ISP has an outage/or you just want to fill out a local game or work on your aim or check out a new weapon. Not everyone is a super l33t 17 year old high school player who has their KDR tattooed on their ass.
This has moved up to a day one purchase for me.
I have a brilliant idea for the *perfect* FPS controller. You have this handheld "puck" type thing with buttons and a wheel on top and laser on the bottom that you move on a surface to control aiming and firing and then this board like thing with a big array of easily accessible buttons on it that you use to control movement and actions.
I'm going to patent it and you guys are going to be like, "whoa!! Dude!".
The PSP RPG scene is surprisingly epic, isn't it? :)
Amazing looking title. Especially for a system that everyone always says "nothing new/good is coming out for it". ;)
One game in and they've already "maxed" them out, eh Crytek? This from the same company that couldn't even bother optimizing their first PC game engine and told people to throw more hardware at it? Then later their second game had just as good GFX but lower H/W requirements?
Okay, if you say so. They must be talking about GoW3 rather than their own product.
Crytek has proven that they can write an amazing engine given unlimited hardware but ...
Haters gonna hate. Day one for me! Single player missions in the 'Nam are going to ROCK. Ditto Zombie/Horde mode. Hopefully they tweak the more idiotic perks which are really 90% of COD's problem. The gameplay is silky smoove and fast paced. What's not to love?
Bullsh*t. Online multiplayer should be a FUNDAMENTAL capability of a modern game console system. Maintaining the basic service with online MP capability is A PART OF THE COST of DOING BUSINESS in this market space. XBOX live is a retard tax for people who are not willing to stand up for their own rights as a consumer. IMHO.
Actually, you can buy a lot of used games for $8.00 that are quite excellent or you could use that money to save toward a full priced title that is not unpolished, rehashed crap.
