In either case, nobody used it, because people don't like playing laggy games streamed over the internet.
Every online game out there eventually will have its servers shut down, unless they rely on P2P only. It has happened to many of our favorite PS3 games already (like Warhawk, which I was saddest to see go).
Sony has the receipts to back the useless stats, unlike Xbox, so they can brag about miles driven all they want. They've got over 100 million consoles out there, and regularly outsell Xbox on multiplatform titles as a result, and as we can see, they even outsell them on exclusive driving simulators as well.
@bluepets either that, or a Trump supporter.
Possibly the best game for PS4, simply because it can literally be any game, and will give birth to thousands of new games, developers, and maybe even development studios.
*MM creates their own genre, then recreates it with a groundbreaking game.*
Eurogamer: "It just... it lacks... something... I'm worried."
Politics is life. In many cases, games are based on life. We want our games to look and act real, but we don't want them to actually... be real. If you're going to be apathetic to politics, might as well go ahead and bend over and spread them, it's basically doing the same thing... inviting the people with the will to rape you right in. They want a population of people who don't care, who have their heads too buried in football or UFC or "neutrally political" video g...
Be sure to check out my game (one of the only ones I actually released) missile commander. See if you can beat my score!
I attended in 2006, 2007, and 2009, and even back then, the cracks were obvious. It was in such steep decline that in 2007 they didn't even hold it at the LACC, but rather in several hotel lobbies with the main gaming area in an aircraft hangar at santa monica's airport. 2009 started to bring back the old vibe back at the LACC, but it still wasn't what 2006 was. It seems like E3 2005, when PS3 was revealed, was where E3 peaked.
we need people to play our creations as well!
A technical marvel as well... how it does all that with hardly any load time at all (loaded from the internet, no less!) and still manages to look that good...
Dreams will certainly result in the birth of entire game studios, and I'm sure Sony is going to be keeping a close eye on the best performers of the pack. There's even talk of letting dreamers sell their creations eventually... perhaps they can eventually graduate from dreams into the playstation store somehow.
If you want to dabble in creation, you don't have to make entire levels. You can make a street sign if you wanted, then share that with the world and they can use your street sign in their creations. It can be anything from an object, sound, character, or even a costume item to entire levels, games, programmed logic, or movies. They do a great job of making creativity accessible to anyone. I actually made a video game starring a friend of mine that takes place at a music festival we all l...
It truly is magical, especially if you are a creative type.
"It'll happen, eventually! Maybe not this time, but it'll happen someday!"
Someone at Forbes must have found the memo the Xbox team sent to their bosses at Microsoft to try to justify dumping billions more into another console.
Hollywood CGI still lacks photorealism in many cases, especially with human characters. We've not crossed the uncanny valley with offline rendering, we're not about to do it anytime soon with real-time.
I'd personally love to see some difficulty become the norm in gaming again. You used to have to be good at games to beat them. Now they spend 2 levels holding your hand through tutorials, give you infinite lives, a continue is something that hasn't seen the light of day in years... save game spots every 10 feet... etc.
No worse way for your console to rub it in your face that you suck.... "gimme some money and I'll let you through... or you could just go back to dying."
You can tell one of us around here doesn't have any friends, they're downvoting anyone that says they love couch co-op.
I love the couch co-op games that also let you and your friends go online, such as Rocket League, and my all time favorite PS3 game, Warhawk. I have/had teams for both that were unbeatable. Sadly, my Warhawk buddy is no longer with us, just like the game itself.
Ps4 was revealed in Feb.
