I've never stopped to consider there's an entire generation of folks who haven't had video games without load times before... It wasn't until the CD era that they had them.
The cool thing is, isn't just the triggers that can do it. The thumbsticks can do it as well.
It's faster than all PC SSDs when you factor in the hardware decompression. That won't remain the case, of course, but for now it is true. It transfers more than a full dual layer DVD per second.
Sexiest console ever IMO. I love how they centered the design around the Roman numeral for 5, "V".
a couple? You forgot to add dozen to the end of that. This isn't Xbox, Sony doesn't rely on few enough exclusives to count on one hand.
I don't care if Guillermo feels his presence in Kojima's projects curses the game (because every time they've tried, it got canceled), I still demand he be a part of it! PT must be realized... could you imagine that on PS5 in VR?
FUD Spreaders: "PS5's variable clock rates will throttle performance way below Xbox every time it gets hot."
PS5: *Includes a massive heat pipe cooling system with a fan bigger than an adult hand, the most powerful cooling system in a console yet.*
My ps1 could run ghosts of tsushima at 60fps if I reduce the models to a few hundred flat shaded polygons...
Good, I didn't want to stress out my new 4K TV, didn't want to have to buy controllers with fancy new features, or learn new UI and online capabilities, or have to master new games. This is the perfect console for me.
One paragraph and one picture?
PS4 Pro likely wouldn't be much different, it uses the same models as the PS4 base, but runs the game at higher resolutions (most of the time).
Look at that heatsink while remembering all the FUD about the variable clock speeds when things start running hot and how it would cripple PS5's performance... Looks like we'll be running at 100% far more often than not.
Saying they're facts doesn't make them facts...
It reminds me of the action you'd expect from a game like Rocket League, whose only microtransactions are for cosmetic items. This will hopefully follow their footsteps.
Every PS generation there's always one multiplayer game that defines the generation for me, I get hooked on it and end up playing it more than any other game out there. For PS3, it was Warhawk. A good friend of mine who passed away years ago used to play that game with me every day, split screen online, we'd dominate. Then they killed it... this is one reason why I'd give anything for a reboot of this game.
On PS4, it has been Rocket League. I still play it mor...
An interesting point I read...
"While the T4 is based on the same TU104 GPU that powers the GeForce RTX 2080 Super, a measure 70W TDP could mean a poor 4K experience relative to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X."
But it is off fair market value, and that's the problem. They're pulling an Apple and making you buy overpriced drives when they could have made it compatible with any off the shelf drive, which is exactly what their drive is, in a fancy package.
It's amazing how entitled people feel these days. I used to pay $70 for a Genesis cartridge I could have programmed and created the artwork and music by myself in a matter of months these days.
The new Ratchet and Clank shows exactly how this can translate into creating gameplay that isn't possible anywhere else.
