This looks great, but it's so similar to Dead Space that I actually thought it was Dead Space for most of the trailer... and to know there's an actual Dead Space coming a month later... I might just hold off, get the tried and true game, and hit this one up later down the line if it turns out to be ok.

A game that looks cool that lets you earn money while you play it... the horror!

The ones hating on crypto the most are always the ones that know the least about it.

PCs would struggle to keep up with PS5's HDD and kraken compression if both were being maxed out in a game (a rare thing, something that you'd only ever see in exlcusive titles as well). Over 9GBPS is nothing easy to achieve. Sure, if you RAIDed a couple PCIE 4.0 SSDs together, you'd be fine, but it isn't something in most systems.

Sony is still sneaking exotic hardware into their consoles... the custom HDD with speeds modern PCs still struggle to keep up with, the 3d audio, the controller (granted, the controller could work on other platforms too)...

Emulating a 360 is easy compared to a PS3, or even a PS2. The rest of your point is solid, but those are not on even ground. Those systems had exotic architectures that took a long time to be able to be emulated.

I'd prefer to see a show that highlights various cars, tells their history, shows how they performed in various races, car geek stuff, not some story driven fiction.

you have to react to changing market conditions. if what they do works, and it starts cutting into your profits, you have to react or fail. studio acquisitions, for instance, if Sony sat around and did nothing, MS could build up a big enough studio base to become a first party threat to them. both are now positioning themselves to being service providers, and whether we like it or not, that will eventually come with some of these games being made platform agnostic... for instance, I wouldn...

Which is hilarious, considering that cloud assisted rendering and physics were what was supposed to make Xbox One a super-machine that would overpower the PS4.

Hit the nail on the head. Are we just tracing reflections, or are we doing shadows, global illumination, etc. and doing them all at a high resolution? These are the things that tax RTX hardware, not just how much, but how high quality.

Perhaps they've aimed a bit high for the combination of quality plus quantity of objects getting ray traced, the types of ray tracing used, etc... but at least this title will grow into future hardware as it is released, it can act as a be...

That's the good news, if enough people fuss about it, it is a fixable issue.

Which is all the more reason they need talented artists like this on their payroll, to help bring this vision to reality.

CDPR should hire this person.

It's like gamepass, with actual good, original, exclusive games.

Sony was the first to do cloud gaming on consoles, all the way back in the PS3 generation, when they bought Gaikai. It was well ahead of its time, the internet was not ready for it yet, but they were there with it.

We're not even talking 4k, this is missing the mark at 1080p, which was the resolution Xbox 360 was striving to hit. I think it's sad that this game doesn't even max out the S to the point that it can render it at 120fps. We all knew Infinite wasn't going to be technically impressive when we saw that first teaser, and this is further proof.

Or they could make a COD game that is good enough to release as a service, and just keep adding content to it for several years before releasing a new one.

Well, as bad as 3 was, I don't see any reason for there to be.

So it not being available on older gen games that already run at max framerate on ps5 and don't even need it is what makes it so "inferior"? Because it doesn't go as low as a completely unplayable 20fps? Because a proprietary format only supported by a handful of PC monitors isn't included?

Resistance, Warhawk, MAG, Motorstorm, there's so many first party gems on PS3 that Sony has just left to die...

Warhawk was probably my all-time most-played video game, and MAG was amazing. Sony is sitting on a gold mine of titles that are primed for a refresh.
