As someone who has covered 3 different E3's, no. It was already beginning its decline in 2006, the last "real" E3. In 2007, it was a damn mess... taking place in hotel meeting rooms across Santa Monica with shuttles bussing us between them, and the game floor where you play the games being in an airplane hanger 15 minutes away from those hotels... they tried to revive the old formula by going back to the LACC the next year, and it helped some, but the writing was already on the ...

Considering Sony skips e3, that isn't saying much.

Being able to scan the play area is a big thing, no more do you have to worry about knocking a lamp over, and not only that, the 3D scans of your room could also be used to generate gameplay possibilities, like the game knowing where your window is, and couch, etc. so it can have a zombie smash through it, and climb over your furniture to get to you .

I can't help but laugh at this place sometimes... You can't even say "this is similar to that in this particular way" without people instantly jumping to "this is just as good as that!" Complete inability to see beyond black and white, all or nothing.

The enemies are a very similar to headcrabs, and some of the puzzles also remind me of Half Life's. Midtown is very reminiscent of Wall Market in Midgar, the entire "city beneath a disc never getting sunlight" is also reminiscent of Midgar's slums, the fetch quests are similar to what you'd see in FF7, and a lot of the music captures that FF7 vibe as well, so yes, I am comparing it to those games, solely on those grounds.

I wholeheartedly agree. Stray is one of the best games of this generation, and will be remembered as a classic. I certainly hope they make sequels, as my only complaint was that it ended sooner than I'd hoped, I was so wrapped up in the story, the vibe, the music, the emotion, that I wanted more.

I got this Half-Life like vibe out of the puzzles and enemies, but then merged with this wonderful FF7 Midgar type vibe, kinda like Wall Market at points, with the visuals, cha...

It's like Half Life along with FF7 Midgar vibes... it has a unique charm I'm really starting to like.

I was disappointed that this game wasn't much better looking than the PS4 GOW... another game held back by cross-gen.

Not every multipatform developer is going to code their game to utilize PS5's compression and bandwidth the most effectively, thae game must be able to run on all systems, after all. There are multiple exclusives that have lightening fast load times, if any at all, and we still have devs saying the advantages are there... Square Enix isn't going to pass up potential millions in sales on Xbox if what they are saying isn't true. We'll see if it drops on PC, or if it requires a P...

Or, Sony is making money off of hardware it didn't have to drop a dime into R&D and marketing for... maybe they are right on the mark?

Kinda seems like an overly dramatic way to reacting to a button malfunctioning... especially a sticky button, which is usually the result of dirt buildup after purchase, not a hardware defect. Kinda seems like they put an inflammatory, sensationalist headline in as clickbait.

In addition to eye tracking enabling things like player input, imagine being able to dash left or right to dodge attacks with your eyes... just press a button and look left or right... or imagine horror games being able to work scares in by knowing where you are looking... so they know how to make something appear out of the corner of your eye for a brief second... but also foveated rendering is a big deal many people don't seem to understand. For those who are not familiar with what it i...

Returnal is great... it brings back the old school gaming concept of death having consequences.

Well, when Housemarque said they were releasing a PS5 game, I expected a great arcade shooter, not Returnal, but despite being WAY outside of what they normally do and are well respected for, Returnal turned out to be great...

We shouldn't judge the book by its cover. These guys obviously know how to make a really fun game, let's give it the chance it deserves.

Obviously not, it isn't sci-fi, and it definitely doesn't look like it's had years worth of polish.

Sony is listening... the good thing about these online services, they can be adjusted quickly if they do something unpopular.

@elda, a bunch of trashy, poorly raised 12 year olds and incels that crawled here from the depths of 4chan... which is why any story about nude mods instantly goes to #1 here, horny little bastards can't wait to see some digital titties. It's sad, really... but to see how many of them there are shows just how poor of a condition the gaming market is in. I guess we all game to escape, and those people tend to be miserable, in need of such an escape the most. If they'd only realize ...

I knew Ellie was lesbian before I played through the DLC, it wasn't a surprise when it finally happened.

It's sad how many bigoted fools hang around this place. It must really suck to live life afraid and full of bitterness and hatred towards people that you've never met and will never have any negative impact on your life.
