Sony developed PSSR with the company that developed FSR... So to use your own analogy there, it would be more like Sony going to Michelin and saying "Help our engineers take your tires and make them even better."

And what you apparently didn't hear is, PSSR works on any game, any frame rate, and can upscale both the frame rate and resolution. It does not need to be patched by the developer.

It ran the games at twice the resolution... If you couldn't see the difference it was because you didn't have a TV good enough.

Exactly, the PS4 pro didn't do much to improve on the PS4's extremely weak CPU, and yet it still provided a noticeable difference in quality when playing games on it.

Considering that PS5 is the best selling console that Grand theft Auto VI can run on, chances, are their developing it around that console's hardware. That's where they're going to sell the most copies.

Show me where you can play Spider-Man 2, final Fantasy rebirth, helldivers 2 on a PS4... Or Wolverine, Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, final Fantasy 16, death stranding 2...

They stopped making cross-gen games a while back. At least on the bigger titles.

And spend twice as much for the same performance as a PS5 pro? No thank you.

The internal SSD in the PS5 almost reaches gen 5 speeds when the kraken hardware decompression is factored in.

There's also the fact that it doesn't require a game to be patched in order to work, it can work on all existing PS4 and PS5 games.

If it does have anything to do with NextGen, Sony could have forced their hand by making the ps5 pro so powerful, with it said to be at over 33 teraflops and up to 4x the ray tracing performance, along with AI-powered upscaling that works on all games without patches required, according to Moore's Law is Dead, who is a very reliable source (and he also leaked photos of the internal documents confirming this).

What doesn't make sense is South Korea, why only there?

Every game that has been in development limbo this long has been crap... Duke Nukem Forever... looking at you. This is the biggest scam in gaming history.

the perpetual victims...

You speak of being smart about business, and then fail to see that the reason why Sony is not releasing their games on Xbox is because it gives people a reason to buy more PlayStations, unlike Xbox which can't sell their systems even with exclusives, because they're games just aren't good enough to move systems like PS5 can, Sony actually gains an advantage by having exclusive games, at least in the consoles space. This is why they are not going to be releasing their gains on comp...

Sales and reviews couldn't disagree more. Definitely an opinion of the vocal minority.

6 months after, for a remake of a years old game, not the best point to make.

This game is beautiful on a base PS4.

You mean play R&C at 720p 30fps and still have stuttering on mechanical HDDs... Fixed that for you.

Scummy? Helping fund the development of a game that was already playstation exclusive for nearly 30 years?

No different than gears remaining exclusive for decades... still to this day, though that might change one day.

I don't really care for any PC games, none of those exclusives really do much for me... but I REALLY want to use my PSVR2 for PC VR apps, like Unreal Engine 5, so I can develop my own VR experiences, Microdose VR, that sort of thing.

Gotta love the disagree vote on my comment... "Nuh-uh, your old PC doesn't have USBC!" Hate to break it to you, but it does. My laptop from 2019 has thunderbolt 3/USBC as well. It's common on pretty much all computers these days.
