I'm glad to see that they didn't try to make Doom exclusive, that was my only gripe when they bought Bethesda... and glad to see they apparently aren't trying to make any other game exclusive either, even their former exclusives. A lot of them don't interest me, but I may try a few out.
To be fair here, Einhander, Phil didn't mention Sony by name with his comment, it was just implied.
That said, the practice goes all the way back to the "Nintendo Seal of Quality" that not only limited developers to publishing on NES, but also limited the number of games they could make per year to 5.
5 rock solid games over one mediocre game that only lasts a few hours.
They're waiting for the Pro reveal. If they save all their heaviest hitters for that, everyone will want the Pro. They also forced Microsoft's hand by having them reveal all theirs first, and by the time the Pro reveal drops, MS will be out of the news cycle.
Yeah, they both might buy the $600 box, but it won't change anything for Xbox as a whole.
By:
1. Hiking up the price of GP
2. Releasing the game on competing consoles
3. Hoping the investors don't notice

You sure have been quiet lately! https://ibb.co/Xk7Y5qj
The gaming industry is still full of misogynistic incels, and they'll whine every time they don't get another virtual lover to fantasize about between dudebro shooter heroes.
I do feel Sony is holding off a lot of their big announcements for the Pro reveal. The last one was just to hold us over, the next one, especially now that MS has shown their hand, would be the strategic time to drop the big bombs once MS' showcase drops out of the headlines.
Not all female video game characters should have to fit into the "feminine looking" box. Just because she doesn't give you a hard on doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to be in a game.
Returnal had an older female lead with short hair... and it was an absolutely fantastic game. Let the game and story dictate how good the game is, not how attractive you find the female lead to be.
If Sony drops it at $500, or even $550, it's all over. Phil should pack his office.
They already leaked the specs, and sony sent their lawyers after those who shared the leaks . They don't do that over fake rumors.
If they expect a $600 XSXSE whose only upgrade is an extra TB of SSD space to compete with a PS5 pro that has more than triple the raw compute power in its GPU... Phil has lost his mind.
I think they're still recovering from Jim Ryan... in the gaming industry, just firing a guy isn't going to immediately undo all the projects he greenlit to see his myopic GaaS vision come to life, they have to cut some of those projects, and do their best to recoup losses on others... but I do think Sony realized this isn't the way we want to see PlayStation go, which is why he lost his job.
It isn' that Concord was bad, it's that we've all played it before.
yeah, those lazy character models and PS3-era facial animations put me off.
The remake itself is what Crimson feels will be a letdown.
PICO 4 and Quest 3 don't have those features either?
@roadkillers... I dunno, maybe because late night talk shows aren't asking people to cheer for hundreds of people losing their jobs?
