It isn't just the models, but the terrible rigging and animation... the faces are completely expressionless while trying to act out a horror game, and it really breaks the immersion.
MS started lumping gold subscribers in with those GP numbers... keep in mind.
Astrobot Rescue Mission is easily one of the best VR games ever made, and definitely the best VR platformer ever made.
We're too busy playing these games on our playstations to care.
I'm not liking the lack of VR mention, Astrobot Rescue Mission defined how a platformer should be done in VR, and why it is way better than what is possible to do with a flat screen. I'm holding out hope that it will at least have VR compatibility, however, much of Rescue Mission's charm was in how it did things you couldn't do in 2D, like having your head interact with objects in the game, or having the level built all around you at times, so looking up or behind you might re...
Sony isn't telling you to play anything, they're giving you the option to play what you want. There are still plenty of great VR2 exclusives that will have me coming back to play it on the PS5.
Salty bots mad that they can't claim an on-paper TFLOP advantage anymore...
The physical media barely costs anything to make, I know because I make blu-rays for a living. You can buy them by the disc for way less than a dollar per disc. Case and all, I dont spend more than $1.50, and I'm not even buying them in the bulk numbers Square is.
What game can use the extra power? Gran Turismo 7 not being able to do ray tracing while in-game, for one... or GT7 in VR... pretty much any game in VR for that matter... being able to have PS5 level graphics in full VR alone is worth the upgrade to me. Metro VR will look great on a Pro I'm sure. GTA6... I'm sure that will showcase the need more than any other game so far.
Being able to have a solid 60fps on far more games, being able to utilize the new AI upscalin...
The pathetic part about it is, you can tell just_looken never even played TLOU, because that was the game where Ellie's sexuality was first brought to light... No "that was forced down our throats" to be said about that.
Only terrified folks in the closet that use their hatred as cover from outing themselves fear LGBT people that much. They exist. They will exist in all aspects of life, including popular media. Get over it.
Seeing a LGBT person exist in a work of fiction isn't "forcing them down your throat". Nobody is forcing you to play it. Nobody is forcing you to agree with it. If you think that just seeing a LGBT person exist is "force", it sounds like they make you very uncomfortable, and maybe you need to be doing some serious reflecting on exactly why... looks to me like you're suppressing something with all that fear.
Salty Bots... gotta love it.
The game runs at as low as 21fps... That isn't much to brag about no matter how good it looks.
FFS, gaming journalism has really gone downhill. At least hire people with a basic grasp of grammar... "Me neither" means the exact opposite of what the "author" is trying to say. That's like saying "I could care less"... lol.
It's 2024, games are running at less than 30fps while upscaling to hit 4K... and people are defending them for it. I've seen it all now.
There is no need to port beg for that game anymore, now that they are making PS VR2 compatible with PC.
Yeah, he basically just got a big promotion within the same parent company.
*cough*

Nor is selling their games on a console with only 25 million install base going to bring their sales to where they hope they will be... Unless they somehow manage to dumb down FF7 trilogy to work on switch, they aren't going to have much luck. They already released it on PC, after all.
Give me VR compatibility, or at least several VR-only missions (it does matter to be VR only, as Astrobot Rescue Mission built its levels around your body, so there are sections where you have to peek around corners, look around to see platforms, headbutt bosses, the levels interact with you as if you're part of the game, etc..), and this will be GOTY contender for me. That was literally my only disappointment with this game, no mention of VR, and that's what made Astrobot special on ...
