Is the dock unlicensed? I can’t click on the link. If it’s not it’s on the 3rd party manufacture, it’s pretty cut and dry. Back in the day I bought an unlicensed PS1 memory card that, for whatever reason, corrupted the ps1 memory slot and wouldn’t allow other Sony licensed PS1 memory cards to work. It sucked especially losing my FFVII and FFVIII saves at the time. But it was written on the PS1 warranty that Sony would not be responsible for unlicensed products working/not working. All t...
If it’s a licensed device by Nintendo and the third party manufacturer then it is most definitely both companies fault. If it’s not then it’s the third party, I mean that’s pretty cut and dry.
That’s a good point. I just hope they announce something sooner than later. Really looking forward to discovering possibly another area and learning more about the story.
It’s not that I don’t believe a successor to the vita could be successful, it’s that I don’t think Sony or the PlayStation division is big enough to support 3 separate devices. I wouldn’t want them to stretch themselves too thin where something they support sees a dip in quality.
@IamTylerDurden1 oh please, do yourself a favor and read my comments. No where did I say that this game was some sort of masterpiece or even condemn anyone reviewer like so many of the kids on this site do for so many many games they’ve never played nor intend to. Because you review hawk fanboys want a numerical score to dictate what’s, good, fun, bad, or broken to other people, should absolutely be made light of in a joke.
@concertoine last night we ran into a “rival” ship. We got destroyed probably by the most efficient team of... well anyone... I had ever seen. It was pretty intense but once we all got back together, we were all like, “dang that was just impressive and well executed..” Only to have a couple more late hours of fun building up our stockpile again.
I must have been one the few that enjoyed NMS when it launched. I guess I just never got caught up in the hype and all of the...
Oh sorry, I didn’t mean that establishes series should have this style implemented or it become the norm. Sony’s franchises of 3rd person narrative driven games I don’t think would work well that the BotW style. Though I would totally dig an open ended open world Norse or Greek mythology game to just go out and explore. I play a “ton” of open world games, and after while a lot the characteristics that make up some of the better games feel... the same after a while. I just mean it would be...
Personally I liked No Mans Sky. The only real issue I had with it was not taking my time to enjoy the aspect that while yes most planets did feel the same, you possibly will never land on planet that someone else has. I just rushed it and got to the center of galaxy... which was most definitely a let down.
The “nothing to do” argument is poorly based and bit of hyperbole at this point. Also it extremely rare that literally any a game “stays” fun. No one is saying this game is a classic or will go down as something you’ll love 10yrs down the road. But it’s a pretty fun game to play with a group of friends, for which the most part, is how this game was intended to be played.
Huh? How did you get that I have data on how many people are playing it? This is actually a copied meme from the Sea of Thieves subreddit that’s actually quite popular and pretty accurate, especially from the groups/teams of people playing it together vs those that are not.
100% agree. What it did/does so well is that it’s an open world game with little to no narrative. You start at point A but it’s completely up to you how you get to point B. I love games like the Witcher or Horizon but for the most part those games will hold your hand and drive you to complete the game a certain way. It was completely refreshing to play BotW in that completely open ended fashion. I do hope other games follow suit to mix it up the formula.
I definitely agree. I think a 7-8 is fair, definitely not a game for those who like single player adventures. But a few friends and a few drinks and the game is a blast. But reviews scores here are essentially:
PS4 exclusives: >9 the reviewers are biased and junk
Nintendo: <8 the reviewers are biased and paid off
Xbox exclusives: <7, >9 it’s a bomb worst game of all time Microsoft is dead.
People on N4G in a nutshell:
N4G: it’s devoid of content
People playing it: yep but having fun
N4G: it’s extremely repetitive
People playing it: yep still having fun
N4G: jumping up and down* stop having fun!!

Ah yes the conspiracy theories... the last resort to those who can’t handle an inconvenient opinion or truth.

Dear god gamespot... you’ve used the word “fun” to describe this game. What have you done!?!?
It’d be pretty cool to get another one before this gen is over... but with all the rumors swirling of a PS5 in 2019/2020, that’s probably unlikely.
You keep on checking those review scores to tell you what’s fun my man lol. I’ll let the actual gameplay experience do the talking.

Please keep on being the perfect example of the joke above.

Oh I know. It’s fun to pick on this site’s over top ridiculousness sometimes.
