Just bought my brother-in-law a copy for like 30 bucks, oh well its worth every penny. He helped suck me back into Boletaria for about the 10th time too. Honestly if I had to pick my top game this generation Demon's Souls would be it.

Doesn't it concern you that if the Kinect does SALE big and becomes the next big thing that core gaming may very well fade into the background for MS. They have very few first party studios and if they decide that Kinect games have a higher profit margin they may ultimately abandon the more 'core' games such as halo, fable, and forza for lame casual stuff.

Yeah certain games do seem pretty pricey considering what they are(I think I once saw a chess game for like 20 bucks).
I'm just surprised that the pricing on the video store hasn't come down yet. 4 dollars for a digital copy rental that expires in 24 hrs after you start it is too much with netflix and redbox around. Then again psn does get almost every major film when it actually releases, unlike netflix and redbox.
Combat system looks fantastic and original, and they have towns so I'm sold. I'll wait a few months to see if they are going to port it to the ps3, after that I'll pick it up for the wii.
Really really enjoyed Lost Odyssey, probably the best old school jrpg of this gen. The only negative thing I came away with where the blasted kids. Little brats were so annoying I wanted to punch my tv at times.
Speaking of Valkyria Chronicles II, its on special right now for like 17 bucks on the US psn store. Friggin sweet deal!!
These new videos are just the tip of the ice-burg for the creative community in LBP2. I can't wait to see what I can do with this game!

At the very least I'm going to try to make a top view zombie shooter game and a jrpg with LBP2. Looks like its going to be a blast to make these.
I doubt lawyers would need to get involved. Don't the moderators within the game community go through and remove all the levels based off non-Sony game franchises?
On that note, I hope the system for reporting offensive levels is better in this game. I remember some fantastically creative and awesome levels getting pulled because a few (maybe even a single??) individuals reported it for removal for bogus reasons. I wonder if the tool set they give you would be enough to implement a basic leveling system. That and setting up a menu for equip-able gear and items would be enough to create a basic jrpg. I look forward to trying this out.
I think I did play a level like that in the first LBP. They set it up so the 360 red ringed and blew up at the end of the level.
Longer single player experience.
Hopefully this also means that there is going to be no backtracking through levels we have already seen. I know this was a huge deal for most of the reviewers last time(not me though!). I would like this one to at least hit 93 on meta-critic.

The real problem I found though is once you activate the power those super zombies that crawl on all fours come out to kick butt.
Also they didn't show it in the video very well but there is a vending machine up there that upgrades your weapon for $5000, I think. Didn't have 5k the one time I made it up there to try it out.
Don't they just copy it out of the official guide?
It really does take some of the fun out of gaming to have so many guides readily available at release. In my opinion it kills the sense of discovery that some of the old school games have.
Coop is definitely awesome in R2. If I could pick one element to carry over to the 3rd game that would definitely be it.
The only thing I personally took away from the new pictures and the live action trailer was that that insomniac is looking to reacquire that survival horror edge of the first game. That and humanity is on the brink of extinction.

Wouldn't it have been cool if instead of going the action route they had done something similar to valkyria chronicles with the battle system? I would really like to see more of that type of battle system on consoles.
Really, just shooters, as if we don't have enough already? Personally I'd like to see a Demon's Souls 2 or whole new ip based on the action rpg genre.
Demon's Souls
That game more than any other reminds me of old school gaming. Amazing sense of atmosphere, nothing else really like it this generation.
Some of the trophies in that game are inhumanly difficult. I mean, dying in one hit and beating the game? That's insane. You would have to have every screen memorized, or have god-like reflexes.
But I did get a kick out of the game though, it was very retro and fun.
