Indeed it was, as good as most of the PS2 games graphically before it even came out. But of course people were ignorant of it because they were waiting for PS2 instead.
Great console for it's time, had a nice amount of power.. only thing it lacked a bit was storage space on the GD roms.
And it could emulate PS1 games better than the PS2 could! with Bleemcast i think.
Still using a 5870 graphics card and still runs games well enough, though as soon as Source 2 is announced i'll be upgrading to the best single graphics card at 1080p for high frame rates, not one of these overpriced as hell Titan cards.. it's sad that even the Titan card can't even run a constant 60fps on some games, if they want to be taken seriously they need to be 50% more powerful on top of what they are already.
Plus unless graphics cards get a serious jump ...
No, the game simply streams to the Vita over a Wifi connection (no idea if 3G is good enough) so in a way it's sending you video of the game running on your running PS4 at home, and you are controlling it from your Vita.
So you would need a tidy connection to stream it smoothly, most people probably have at least 10mbps now so i don't think it will be much of an issue. Though you need good upload as well.
I have 100mbps down and 10mbps up (10 megabyte...
Nobody needs to implement the feature, it's not part of the game but the system, so it will work with everything.
This is very good news, but..would 3G streaming be good enough? or will we still need wifi access to get the speeds & line quality over 3G?
The only one i played that would be highly inappropriate was DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball with the nude patch after i modded my Xbox.
PC already has tons of great games, for a game like this i don't really care as i find realistic racing games to be boring.
But, plenty of good games coming on PS4 so why not own both?
Vita - better graphics (pretty much a portable PS3), more comfortable to hold for longer periods because of rounded sides, 2 thumbsticks, YouTube app, 3G (even if just for browsing etc..), nice OLED screen but suffers from patchy black splotches which can be seen in low light/dark rooms, not as many top titles as 3DS but slowly gaining momentum.
3DS - roughly GC/Wii level graphics, a lot of great games, not so comfortable to hold for a long time, circle pad does not have much...
This is nothing new, guys would pretend to be girls as early as when i had dial up in in the late 90's and again in the early 2000's when i played Runescape.
Needless to say people still go around pretending to be girls, either for attention or just to gain an unfair advantage and try to get free stuff from people.
Hell, even real girls do that. Gold diggers either way, i suspect other games like WoW suffer from that as well.
Halo already AGAIN?, i got irritated at the fact 360 had tons of shooters anyway.. I barely played my 360 because i much rather play on my PC.
But Halo is seriously over rated, if you want to enjoy real fun FPS's get a decent PC and play Valve's games. They are top quality and don't milk every game they have every 1-2 years with a sequel.
When i played the first Halo i wondered what the fuss was about, at the same time i was playing Soldier of For...
it is dirt cheap now.
I don't care about mods, i just want a proper huge multiplayer like in SA-MP mod. if they can have 64+ player online with dedicated servers, total freedom with editable game modes or scriptable like SA-MP it will be awesome. Get rid of GFWL and make it Steamworks.
IV's multiplayer is boring and nowhere near as good as SA-MP in the amount of players on one server and the stuff you can do.
I'm just hoping we have at least 64+ player online, editable game modes like in San Andreas MP mod. and freedom like SA-MP.
it could be really great, IV's multiplayer is nowhere near as populated as SA-MP nor as fun.
Even though SA-MP is a mod, the major servers have like 100+ players constant and over 200 in one server at peak times. So it's always busy and very fun, hopefully Rockstar have learned that for V.
It depends because people have their own opinion of a game being playable or smooth, playable to one person could be low frame rates of 20-30. But to me 60+ as often as possible is playable, 30 is too slow.. and an issue pops up here, because some games can't run 60+fps often even on high end cards.
But even at 1080p you need a high end card to ensure 60fps or close to as often as possible, this is why 1080p will be the sweet spot for some time to come. The difference is ...
As long as it has more stages this time, i don't think 8 would cut it unless it's a download only game.
Hopefully they fix problems with using too many overpowered moves to win easier as well. Like i see some YouTube videos of people just spamming flying kicks, especially in Final Fight.
Streets of Rage 4?, in 2.5D, with the same composer as 2 doing new music.. damn that would be great.
Admittedly, Wii U is decent but they should have put just a bit more money into it's specs.
1 more CPU core and a bit more powerful GPU would've gone a long way extra.
it could've been similar to Dreamcast, where it released early and still had games that looked as good as most of the PS2 library. But that won't happen now with the newer consoles coming, since it's only slightly ahead of last gen.
Most content addons are complete bull shit, i mean they do it with COD i see, by letting you buy maps?. That shit is the worst for multiplayer because it alienates players, may as well split the game in 2 and screw the community up and at the same time screw them over by forcing them to pay if they have to.
This problem never really existed except for full expansions in the past, it was only when the 360 came around that we had this DLC bs and now it is spreading even more. ...
They have never had snow in the games.. which seems really odd, it's not like it seems much harder to add in than adding rain.
Yes, ignorance like that is what actually killed off the DC.
