Well it really does depend on player experience. My time with Fallout 3 on PS3 was remarkably solid given all the criticism. I might have gotten stuck on an object one time from recollection. The DLC's were pretty poor though, but I'm pretty sure that was across the board.
I've been playing Skyrim on PC and can't think of any hiccups off the top of my head in my 70+ hour experience. As far as Bethesda games go, I'd say it's the most consistent thus far...
The 90's era of gaming was a pinnacle we won't likely see again. It's when the majority of us played for each other. We didn't have rabid forum bashing, we didn't have pseudo-journalists fuelling fanboy fires and the games were released without patch requirements, future dlc or restrictive piracy measures. In short, they were done when they were released.
We have had a phenomenal generation with all things considered, but the community that once was has ma...
Disagrees without legitimate discussion? Nice one, N4G.
Well, Sakaguchi is essentially one of the founding fathers of the franchise and he has little interest in it any more. It makes sense. The series has just about exhausted its creative potential, and Sakaguchi went the way of fresh ideas. Lost Odyssey is probably the truest successor to Final Fantasy and The Last Story is looking to be phenomenal as well. The Wii arguably has the greatest JRPG of this generation by way of Xenoblade Chronicles, so obviously he doesn't feel that the system i...
This is probably the most torn I've felt over a piece of interactive entertainment. I loved it and yet it's impossible to describe it as a medium. It's an experience, but one that's difficult to put your finger on. It has none of the elements of a traditional game, and yet you come away with the same sense of satisfaction, appeal and desire to try it all over again.
For those who loved Flower on PSN and are looking forward to Journey, I whole-heartedly recomme...
It's dependant entirely on the individual players penchant for exploration, but it can last anywhere from 1 hour to about 3.
Without needing to mention the fact that it hasn't actually sold 80 million units, or the fact that the PSP Go was a marketing and commercial failure, it doesn't discount the fact that Jim Sterling stated that he LOVES THE PSP. How could I possibly be more clear? How can you STILL be offended?
Man, now I remember why I stopped posting here so much.
He's not insulting the PSP at all. He actually states that he loved it, and his criticism of the device is dead on. I enjoyed the PSP as much as the next guy, but to say that it didn't have a rocky existence is flat out denial.
I enjoy Call of Duty from time to time, but goddamn, did they take this poll at an Elementary School? It beat out Metal Gear Solid 4's ending?
Lazy Sakaguchi? Oh right, yeah the same lazy Sakaguchi that conceptualised some of the greatest RPG's ever made. The same Sakaguchi that introduced and inspired you to play games in the first place. The same Sakaguchi that has allowed your lazy ass to sit and play his games for hundreds of hours in your lifetime.
Have some damn respect. The guy creates games so chumps like yourself can be lazy.
I work for EB Games and can completely sympathise. I don't even purchase my own games there, even with the staff discount. I'll always purchase and pre-order titles online. The only people that really buy from EB Games are desperate mothers and impressionable youngsters. The prices are absolutely obscene and have been that way in Australia for a long time because most people aren't aware to the very lenient import prices, and are prepared to pay upwards of 100 dollars every time. ...
Up there with some of the juggernaut releases this year as one of my most anticipated.
This article isn't even uh...it isn't even, ummmm....look this uh, this article is uh....
alright fine I'll let this one slide.
Everything Irrational is doing seems to be a step in the right direction. I welcome the extreme difficulty, simply because Bioshock was one of the easiest "high difficulty" games I've played. One of the best, no doubt, but not without balancing problems.
Easily my most anticipated for the year.
You are talking about a possible remake for one of the greatest games ever made. It can't be taken lightly. Why rush out a masterpiece for unforgiving fans? In fact, FFVII should probably never even be touched. Not to mention the fact that FFVI is arguably the better game and maybe the best in the series that few have actually taken the time to play.
Just about any map on CoD4, Counter Strike and Halo could have been chosen. Maps are what make potentially great multiplayer games classics.
Description is a little misleading. It sounds like Resident Evil: Rev got a 1/10, when it actually got a 6/10. Just to clarify. I understand what you meant though.
The serial video-game hecklers are getting a spot on gaming console.
Oh dear, the irony is delicious.
Having been sceptical about Downpour early last year, I think Vatra have really taken strides ever since they pushed the game back. It seems to have given them the time to talk about the game and really WANT to discuss it.
Homecoming was a flawed title and probably not worthy of the Silent Hill cannon, but it had solid story none-the-less. Downpour looks to be closer to the original titles, not only in atmospherics, but most importantly, symbolically.
"Despite their almost identical poses, these two versions of Cloud couldn't be more different if they were night and day. The original Cloud stands with a confident posture, chest thrust outward, feet spread apart, free fist clenched, ridiculously huge sword supported firmly. The Dissidia Cloud stands meekly, shoulders slumped, left hand dangling limp, sword held aloft only because it's resting against his back. The one on the left is a guy who would brag about his skills, flirt ...
