I didn't see ModNation Racers as being all that bad. The load times were crippling though, even after the patch. To hear that the kart mechanics are identical is pretty disappointing. I'm hoping it has more on offer to seperate itself from ModNation.
What a monster. Time to start saving.
This after he said he couldn't make another controller game?
Surely the apocalypse is coming.
It's all mega corny, but it's also fitting for this type of game. Probably could have done a little better considering how good the game is, but it doesn't impact on the experience at all.
Molyneux has gone completely insane. Motion controls are a regressive step in the evolution of gaming. Interactive entertainment uses a controller and a mouse because it's purely precise, more so than anything motion gaming could ever hope to replicate over the next few decades. We are still the controller, so to speak, because we react to certain elements of the game when we need to, especially when they require multiple quick inputs.
There is literally no game on the ma...
"8 hour campaign" is stretching it a little, haha.
Fell into the same niche category as the Yakuza series sadly. Both great, unique titles in their own right. Hopefully Binary Domain sees some love on PC.
The game itself is developed in Europe, thus the reason for having far more leeway in what you can put within a game. Not just with sex, but with the themes of the game.
PC gaming/building has taught me more about my love for games than anything I've discovered through console gaming. Which isn't to say console gaming is bad by any means, but I take pride in knowing that I can upgrade my PC incrementally and tweak settings at will. It's just fun, even when you aren't playing the games themselves.
Of course, there's also Steam.
I bought Sniper Elite yesterday for $2.50. Not because I'm dying to play V2 ...
Motion controls have done so little for this industry and it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Most of the big ideas and concepts won't even be utilized by the end of the console cycle and hopefully they won't bleed into the next gen.
Milo and Kinect Star Wars were the biggest sellings points for the device. How ironic was the perception that Star Wars would be the "hardcore" title for the Kinect? The Milo project was, in my opinion, doomed from the ...
I have not. This sounds like an idea though. Thanks for the heads up!
To be fair to XIII, it originally had a sequel planned, but because of poor sales the idea was cut. I haven't played it for a while, but it wasn't an awful cliff-hanger by any means.
Can't wait for the extras on PC. If you have a 360 and love a good RPG then this is really a no-brainer. Bought this bad-boy last year with no regrets. It's outstanding.
Molyneux has the ambition, but he's a man of broad strokes. He'll inevitably disappoint gamers every time if he continues to make lofty claims. For all the ideas he has, right next to it is an apology.
Feel free to point anyone in the direction of a bad review for this game. By all accounts, it's been well received already.
Might want to actually read the review next time. It's thorough.
Welp, it's going further and further away from the isolated survival-horror element. I'm sure it'll be a decent title, but boy do I miss old-school tension conventions.
Horror games nowadays have strayed too far from the slow-burning classics. At the risk of sounding like granddad needing to get with the times, it just ain't as good as it used to be.
Can't even imagine how crazy GTA V would be if the Big Rigs developers made it.
You wouldn't even need cheats. Clipping houses and falling through bridges would just be a given. Haha.
Everyone here has already said what needs to be said. Downpour is hopelessly underrated. It's not without some irritating issues, but it's almost certainly the most faithful and interesting Silent Hill title in a long while.
Definitely laying it on the article. It's done to spark hits and angry discussion. Nothing new in the gaming world.
Thankfully Konami are allowing Vatra to patch the game too. It's unfortunate that it was so rough around the edges because they've really done the franchise some justice this time around. Justice is something the series hasn't seen for a while.
