Yeah even though MvC 3 made it to EVO i don't consider it a legitimate fighter. Whacky, irrelevant, 1-button characters doing moves that take up the whole screen...eh, pass.
When some of the greats such as Justin Wong are taking time off of SSFIV to play MK, then it's legit. But yeah.....SSFIV for me thru and thru.
Sorry buddy. But you're wrong. SSFIV is my preferred fighting game as well. But MK has already made it to grand tourneys such as this:

I'll say that MK is the overall better package, but SSFIV is the overall better fighter. ;-)
As a God of War fan, I have NEVER been into handhelds. EVER. I didn't even own a GameBoy. But I owned most of the consoles. I will say that purchasing God of War PSP Remake gives me TWO games I never played, in HD, and filling in the gap for what I never got to experience. It's worth my money.
Some people have smart rants. Other people have douchey rants. What's not to understand?
I'd rather OWN something.....tangibly. Physically. Thus, I will ALWAYS prefer a disc based medium...at the very least an actual file that exists on storage. Streaming and even Cloud is cool on a temporary level. But I'd rather own.
The PS2 collection only being $40 is a valid point. I don't mind this price as much however. Truth be told, GOW is an EPIC, AAA title, no matter the platform. TWO GOW games in one package BOTH in HD and BOTH in 3D (supported) sounds like an expensive deal anyway.
For the non-handheld market this is a welcomed addition to our library.
I'd say its the 3D that jacks up the price. Either way I'm getting this.
The unfortunate thing about fanboyism, is that there really IS an easy defense:
Multi=plat games "typically" look/play worse than exclusives.
THAT's IT! That's all anyone has to say to justify this sort of thing. F*ck brand loyalty, f*ck console wars. Simply put, exclusives....on ANY platform....are much more quality.
Insomniac doing this "could" mean that their games will go down in quality. It won't mean...
Did Sony lose E3 because a Konami employee wont be there? Uughh. Sometimes, gaming journalism makes me embarrassed to be a gamer.
Maybe Bioshock, Mass Effect and every Unreal Game you've played looks like Gears to you. More power to you. But to reiterate my initial comment....Gears is still the only series (IMO) that looks CGi-impressive on 360. It's the reason why I bought a PS3 in the first place....many games look photo-realistic.
It's a shame more developers don't do this with the Xbox 360. Gears is the only series to push the 360 to awesome visuals like this and the ONLY series I ever wanted ported over to PS3. Oh well!
Am I missing something here? This just looks like artwork.
And? What's your point? He thinks all those games are better than Bayonetta. What does that have to do with the creator? He created DMC, its a great game. He created Bayonetta, and it sucks. People do that. THey sometimes create sucky things, and sometimes they create great things. Now you know.
There was only ONE series for Xbox 360 that I said, "If they port it, I'll play it." and that's the Mass Effect Series.
The demo MADE me want to get this game. God of War 3 demo was just "meh" too. Then the game came out and it was like WOOOOOOOOW.
I expect the same for ME2....which I'm on my way to go purchase now. :-)
in 1982.
I'd rather install a game for it to play magnificently than to not install a game which plays at sub-par performance.

Are we comparing an RPG to an Action-Adventure game? OK.....Gran Turismo is better than Silent Hill. Oh, and don't forget that Katamari is much better than Kingdom Hearts.

And that's Street Fighter IV. As a 27 year old gamer who's been gaming his whole life, I dont have time to spend 100+ hours learning maps. The PlayStation brand has ALWAYS delivered on solid, HIGH quality single player experiences, so that's where my bread and butter goes.
As a Metal Gear fan myself, I would only recommend Metal Gear games to people who were fans of he series. Just because you are a fan of something, doesn't mean it's for everybody.
Do I love Metal Gear? YES! I also recognize that it has components that aren't mainstream. Would I recommend it to ALL PS3 owners? No. For some reason people have difficulty separating what they like vs what the mainstream demands.
