Blu-Ray is only not getting hacked right now because it's still expensive. Like CD's, like DVD's.......there WILL come a point when Blu-Ray Disks and Drives are cheap. And thats when the hacking will go live.
They already have Blu-Ray torrents for games and movies. It exists.....just not refined yet.
I'm no fanboy, but I've seen FF XIII realtime footage and FF vs XIII realtime footage. The difference is astonishing.

Unreal is great for textures and models. But it BLOWS when it comes to animation.
Characters and backgrounds look GREAT.........until they start moving. All of a sudden, everything becomes wooden and "stick-figure-ish". Almost like they're moving like dolls. Animation is what makes a game visually convincing.
Gears and UTIII are the only 2 games where they managed to "sort-of" do better in the animation dept.
Yeah it looks action packed. But why can't we have a game with a normal, adult, less comic-booky, male teenaged, hormone induced thematic? Everything has to be monsters, and powers and goblins and childish crap.
I really hope Heavy Rain's David Cage starts a trend where the majority of hardcore games will appeal to older audience cuz this fantasy around every corner garbage is getting old.

Konami is making a game from their European Planning Department which might use Kojima's assistance.
That still doesn't make this Kojima's game, in fact it's far from it. Kojima's countdown trailer is from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS website and is advertised like a KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS GAME.
If this game were HIS OWN, then I doubt it would have anything to do with an offshore, non-Japanese department of Konami.

Who cares if it's QTE. It's either good or it isnt.
Some games are shooters. Some devs do it well, others do it poorly.

THIS game is a QTE. This is a dev who has done it well.
If you don't like shooters, dont play them. If you don't like fighters, don't play them. And if you don't like QTE, DON'T PLAY THEM!

Keeping MGS exclusive to PS3 makes a lot of financial sense. The US is the only territory where 360 leads. In Asia, the 360 is non-existent. To make it a multiplat would be a waste of money considering the Asian markets wont even buy it on 360.
PS3 leads in the European territories as well, where the value of the Euro is considerably higher than the dollar.

I tried them a few times during the last gen and I was never satisfied. Ever since I started playing every Metal Gear since Solid on PS1, I felt Slinter Cells were inferior.
Graphically however, Splinter Cell games look very good.

Let's face it. The better PC graphics get, the more money you have to spend to upgrade your hardware. Does the crysis engine look good? Sure. It's 2009. Most games look good, that's why it's called next gen.
But I can think of about 10 games on PS3, 5 games on X360, and 15 multiplats that look better than Crysis on a technical AND artistic level.
Uncharted was ALREADY the best looking game on consoles anyway. Graphics were as good as anything else on the market, but animations are what counts and thats what Uncharted also had. What would make the sequel any different?

This system just pops up with exclusives every month. By the time the PS3 hits the same YTD price point as the PS1 and PS2, there will be sooooooooooooooooooo many games. Some you have, some you never played. I love that Sony variety. Thank you for keeping good ideas alive Sony.
"Only possible on PS3" doesn't mean graphics. It means the PS3 is the most capable for handling the complexities of the way the game is coded. Visually, both the 360 and PS3 have awesome multi-plats and exclusives. Heck, God of War II on PS2 STILL looks good to this day.
So in reality, yes, chances are you couldnt make Infamous on another platform without CODING it differently. Visually, BOTH consoles have PRETTIER games.

I've been gaming for 21 years. I'm now 27. Honestly, I'd rather play brand-new current-gen games on PSN than old games from the 80's and 90's that are only fun for about an hour on XBL. As "cool" as it sounds to be like "Ooooh, Altered Beast, I LOVED this game," I wouldn't pay money again for it, along with other old titles just for a quick nostalgic experience.
