I’ll say it again, gamepass is an unispired excuse for not being a good games development company themselves(Xbox). They want to rely on monetization schemes with other devs games as a way to pad themselves for not having AAA must haves. I’d rather have confidence is Xbox developed games and pay for the ones I actually want than this “trial service” full of games that either don’t meet expectations(crackdown3) or old games I’ve moved on from long ago
Yes please, Overdrive 2 and something with the Resistance IP. A Resistance title would be groundbreaking on the PS5.
Say it enough times and hope people start to believe it. Lol. Trump playbook, right? Hoax hoax hoax..game pass, game pass, gamepass.
I promise, unless you’re super good or already played, Demon Souls took a lot longer than 10 hrs to beat. Let’s not discuss Returnal, I’m still getting my ass handed to me many days in and loving it. No shortage of games, throw in PS5 versions of Wreckfest, Control, Destruction All-Stars, Sackboy Adventure, Abe’s Odyssey new game all from PS+ which all stay in your library permanently with + subscription. So yea, I’d say Sony is doing a bang-up job at keep my thumbs plenty busy.
Remakes, Remasters, Reboot, sequels.....I’ll take anything, just anything they wanna throw at us fans of the series. Too good a franchise to lie dormant while the technical enhancements of the PS5 are ripe and ready to make our eyes bleed, with an in-house Insomniac pushing the boundaries.
I’d also be happy to see the return of IPs like Jet Grind Radio, Shinobi, Condemned, Panzer Dragoon, Eternal Champions, and a Sonic Adventure remake and Vectorman remasters. Something like that
Virtua Fighter 6 would be welcomed!
No incentive for developers to make diverse, big budget, full price experiences anymore if they can print money for half baked free-to-play battle royale games these days. Making billion(s) while I’m sure the average developer there is nowhere close to even being a millionaire. Sad day IMO
Obviously they’re not too pissed if it’s outselling the last console.
Well their best developer Bungie left them, Rare is a shell of its former self and I don’t know what ever happened to Lionhead studio. So, I’m not so sure about that comment
Same story here, I’m still enjoying it though somehow. Maybe I’m decent at the game...dunno. Either way it’s a great game, and progression is had in every run. This type of game just redefines conventional progress in games. You do lose stats after every life lost, but if you’re attentive you pick up several permanent upgrades as well as enemy and map knowledge along the way. This game totally respects my time with the quality of detail and design that went into creating this game. Likely my ...
Does so much like playing last gen games like Sega’s Like a Dragon at 720-900p just to hit 60fps. Not very next-gen at all if we’re taking steps backwards wouldn’t you say?
And that’s why I’m big on supporting games like Sony offers at full price... GoW, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon Souls, Returnal, and many more, have no MTs. I’ve almost never paid for MTs myself, withstanding a couple small NBA2k currency buys.
Believe it or not I still play the campaign on those games too. Same goes for Ubisoft games like the Division and Farcry games, not really there for the MP personally.
Games have been $60-70 since N64 days. Get over it, it’s called inflation and cost of living increases. I’m happy to pay full price for games that deliver impeccable experiences. I save on sports and Ubisoft/CoD games for the dollar bin as they’re released annually.
Was playing Alienation last night. If this is essentially a 3rd person version of that with heavy story elements, then yea..it’s gonna be epic. Worth my support. I just pre-ordered this morning.
Nioh gameplay - world class (10/10)
Nioh story telling - not so much (4/10)
We didn’t kill it by not picking up an old ass game with hardly any quality of life updates. That game was absolutely amazing for its time, but it’s capcom’s own fault for such a lame remaster. You want interest from old fans or new fans, you gotta come with something that doesn’t look and feel 3 generations old.
Yup, and MS missed the opportunity to purchase the IP or the studio. Insomniac was a fantastic pick-up for Sony.
I’d love a current take on either Legacy or Kain Soul Reaver. Personally I have more memories spending time getting through all the pain in the ass puzzles of Soul Reaver, but really enjoyed the game and art style
