Respawn is made up of all the talented people who made the cod franchise what it is today. Activision don't have the talent to take cod to the next level.. why? Because they're all at respawn. If anyone can take down cod it's these guys.
Another modern shooter? I'm SHOCKED.. never saw it coming.
Can't see how anybody can prefer free movement like that over using a controller. I'm sure you get the hang of it fairly quickly but it just sounds like a complete detachment from the game.
Lol it's pathetic how many multiplatform games they've got listed there. I know the article says "like Sony" before people call people a sony fanboy but seriously, why do either need to host third party Japanese games? Let the damn devs do them themselves.
$150 to attend a event for MW3.. activision just proved then that cod buyers will just piss money up the wall. Having them cheer for cod elite announcement is probably akin to a drug addict seeing his next fix.
And a bloody good thing too! Let all the adhd morons and lame heartbeat sensor campers have their precious cod.. just means a better community for battlefield!
Did it really cost $150 to attend? They had like 10k visitors as well.. if they really did pay that much then yeah they'd clearly spend anything to get COD. Activision should just release a ultra limited edition $1000 version of cod and watch as the money comes rolling in from retards.
While I'd absolutely love the idea of a game using the new frostbyte engine involving modern military vs big dinosaurs.. but not in battlefield thanks. This is a real serious game not a fucking theme park of stupid amount of features to try and lure as many retards as possible.. aka COD.
To be fair a lot of the games I was thinking of they just published. My point remains valid though, FF13 was nowhere near on the same level of the other series and FF14 is one of the worst received major mmo launches I've ever seen.
You reap what you sow. Serves them right for releasing so many half assed products for the current gen consoles.
If you plan on buying all the DLC for mw3 then yes it's worth it. It offers enough bells and whistles to make it an appealing buy for die hard cod players. If you don't plan on getting the DLC or not sure, then no it really isn't.
Call of duty isn't on the up.. I think it's peaked tbh, maybe it can potentially go up slightly but ultimately I don't think any game can really topple the current sales COD is getting. The only one I can think of which even stands a chance would be WoW 2 or blizzard's next mmo project.
Most f2p games attract a much younger audience though. I'll happily pay a monthly fee if it keeps the 10 year olds out because they cant borrow daddy's credit card.
It won't happen and even if it did, the cost of it would probably be high enough to almost make it worth just getting a ps3 instead.
So end game consists of dungeons, heroics and raids.. wow, we've never seen that before. I really really really hope this isn't going to be another cookie cutter end game experience where our only form of endgame is gear progression. And most importantly, I hope it feels star warsy.. that vault of eternity or whatever it's called really didn't make me think "wow this is star wars" it looked more like a sci fi WoW raid.
I'd rather play this game than be forced to listen to Microsoft talk about why Kinect is for core gamers.
How can anyone disagree with this? A Naruto mmo would be freaking amazing. The possibilities would be endless. If they could make enough jutsus while taking into it the elemental strengths and weaknesses, it could make for one of the most strategic team based pvp games.
Looks like Microsoft should have delayed this one too tbh. Still it was never designed to be amazing just to lure teens and kiddies to it's gore factor.
It's a good idea for sales tbh. If I get gears, I certainly might pick this up if the ingame weapon is decent enough. While I don't agree with this form of marketing if you will by tempting people with free weapons, it sure does beat avatar items which I personally couldn't give a shit about.
Ironic that the "biggest names across the industry" defending it are the ones making games that incorporate it. I'm done criticizing Kinect tbh, I owned it, I sold it and chances are, I don't see any real reason to buy it again.
Still if developers feel the need to constantly defend it, then it's Microsoft's fault for the direction they are taking it. Xbox is a console for the fps junkies.. not catering for them when initially unveiling Kinect I sti...
