Why would they release another FFXIII game? FFXIII-2 is already reduced to 1/4 of it's retail price in the UK.. clearly it didn't do that well sales wise.
Actions speak louder than words..a yearly update to halo, gears, forza, fifa doesn't really feel like they're all that focused on the core. The fact they ended their conference on a multiplatform game and proudly announce timed exclusive DLC speaks louder than any fancy words from someone employed by Microsoft.

Outside of Xbox though what else have they been successful in other than PCs? I agree that when they want to, they go all out but I think they take too long to capitalize on the initial buzz. Maybe I'm wrong but tablets aren't as new and fresh as they once were back when the original ipad was released.. it's lost that buzz factor anyway.
Lol Microsoft will never catch apple.. public perception aside, Microsoft just never take the gambles. Always seem to arrive two to three years late onto any scene to which point that it's either dominated by other brands or people have just moved on. Zune being the perfect example of this and Kinect also seeming to be going that way.
Nope he's spot on.. Fifa has been coming out a lot longer than pes games or even football games from Konami. Sure the current fifa games are capitalizing on the success PES created but the pro evo series was successful thanks mainly to the original success of games like fifa and sensible soccer.

Welcome to the world of the ADD gamer where they want to feel like they've earned something without actually working for it.. seems to plague most MMOs as well as Diablo 3 tbh.
That means then that everyone will complain about it and it'll make the AI godlike for the no any scrubs on fifa clubs.
If they could localize the games at a decent speed, this alone would make me buy the wii u.. Lost Odyssey stands out as the best jrpg for me personally this gen.
Lol it's funny how high the development budget was for this yet most of the money went on voice acting. Some idiots at EA/BW actually thought the recipe for success was to create a fully voiced over watered down version of WoW in space with the star wars license. Instead what we get is an mmo with a semi decent story with LOTS of tedious conversions and no soul.

Points 1,6,7,8,9,10 are completely valid imho with most of the others true to an extent. While it's debatable about the professionalism of the article but it's not like EA always conduct themselves in a respectable manner either.

Forge is probably the greatest advancement in console fps games this generation.. can't believe you wouldn't think it stood out. Forge maps are what keeps reach going to be fair as the bungie created maps were garbage for the most part.
But will it look cool? Forge for Reach was amazing but everything was a dull looking grey/silver and all the structures looked the same.. so while it was great at creating good maps, they looked so ugly.
So many positive things said about GW2 and so much hype.. I have absolutely no idea how the game can possibly live up to the hype people are setting for it. Going to prepurchase soon in time for the next beta event and try it out for myself.

Hardly surprising Microsoft doesn't want to go to GAMEScon or Tokyo GAME show... the only non kinect game exclusive they actually can show ingame footage of is Halo lol.. maybe a xbla title or two but lets be honest, if they focused purely on games, they'd be laughed out the building at a place for gamers.
Lets just hope the new f2p gundam game fails.. it'd be horrible if f2p games in the future follow that model.
