Xbox live hasn't always been stable.. Gears 2 release, Christmas periods (last year seemed fine though) to name a few of the times I remember HATING xbox live.
You're going to compare WoW after all this time of being able to add new content to a new game? That's a bit stupid.
With the nature of an MMO most fair reviewers review it based on their leveling experience and future upgrade potential while the veteran MMO reviewer will wait and also discuss the first month's stability.
I'm loving the beta and I'm forced to play it on the 360. It takes time to adjust after playing Black Ops and Gears 3 but once you learn to think more tactically, and move slowly, it's an absolute blast.
Should try and start a big internet troll campaign and get Jon Fitch on the cover.
Just don't take inspiration from Call of Duty.
Won't be counting me as someone who will use it providing I'm not forced to come ToR release. EA's handling over the BF3 beta has left a foul taste in my mouth and I won't support them whenever possible.
That's ironic coming from Square's CEO because I'd say the whole Square brand has been damaged from a console perspective.
Still don't understand why people are so dead against pay monthly subscriptions. Good stable servers cost money to run, GMs cost money to run, CS costs money to run.. updating and introducing new content costs money to run. I'll happily pay £9 a month to ensure I have a good mmo experience.
Maybe it's because I'm slightly an old school mmo gamer and like the old business model as opposed to microtransactions which sound more costly than pay monthly anyho...
What's easier to do.. aiming a Gnasher for a headshot or aiming in the general direction of someone with a sawn off? Chainsaw kill? I can't imagine anyone getting a chainsaw kill off on me before I splat them tbh. I also mentioned retro is good for killing sawn off users.
Saying something like adapt is all good and well but there are more than a few situations where you can't adapt. As it stands in a close up melee sort of range battle, Sawn off is vastly superio...
I tried the Sawn Off yesterday for the first time.. I can't believe how OP it is. If you're close range it's a free kill which doesn't require any accuracy and doesn't take long to learn to get out of there before anyone can react. It's getting to the point now where only the really really good players can handle Sawn Off players so for about 95% of the people who play gears, you either join them, use a retro lancer or enjoy dying while praying you at least exchange ki...
Why should the game be reviewed by only people who like the game? There are a ton of people who didn't like the way gears felt (not myself) and probably they'd like to read reviews from people who felt similar.
Can't say I cared for the Onza. The extra button placement, the way they done the triggers.. it just felt clunky.
I suffered with the official controller for SF, couldn't even do ultras (retard fingers maybe?) anyhow I got the new gears of war controller and can safely say that the slightly smaller analogue sticks on that make it PERFECT for fighting games. I can now link ultras with ease.
Complete and total BS. Why bother to ask anyway? Nobody who values their job is going to be openly admit that they was waiting for Blizzard's Diablo release announcement. The whole thing isn't exactly a conspiracy theory, it's smart by EA/Bioware. Diablo 3 is going to be HUGE and releasing ToR around the same time would bound to hurt sales.
It's Christmas, for many of us we have family commitments over this period so play time would be limited.
Announcement comes like a day after Blizz announce Diablo isn't coming out until 2012.. what a coincidence. Awful release time though.. three days before Christmas day is the worst possible time to release a potentially addictive MMO.
I have a US account but to be honest, I shouldn't need to have to make one to play the best PSN releases.
There there, Microsoft is here to help.. how about Kinectimals 2? Kinect Sports 2? Kinect adventures 2?
I've played a lot of the JRPGs this gen and Lost Odyssey is easily up there with the very best.
Yeah instead of apologizing for screwing up, they should have sent a beta code as their apology.
