Haha I love when developers have the balls to do little things like this.
Is that time of year already? When the EA employees come out of hibernation to pretend they care about their consumers? Keep talking Rutter, I'll take everything you say with a grain of salt. How about instead of talking up how to justify us spending more money on your pathetic company, you go explain why all your beloved fans have been ripped off with the abysmally overpriced Euro DLC.
Out of all the things he could potentially cover, diving? Like really? If it wasn't already easy enough to get penalties, if they added a diving system you just know that within days of the demo coming out people would find ways to abuse it.
Not looking good for Bliz tbh they are making the national newspapers here in England.. or at least making the news apps on my phone. It's very rare for games to get that sort of coverage here in the UK.
The awkward moment you're left with nothing better to do than an unboxing vid because you know you can't actually play the game you just bought.
This guy knows what's up!

Well the servers were fine up until around about 6pm UK time/Midday US time. Maybe you're fortunate enough to be able to play through the problems but many new people anxious to play the game haven't been able to play the game they paid for.. they have every right to be mad imho.
Jesus Christ, is this what the world of gaming is evolving into? Multiplayer in predominately sp JRPGs.. no.. HELLL NO! No further discussion needed.
The main complaint here is the fact that Diablo 3 isn't just an online game.. while online is obviously a huge part of the game, there is a perfectly good offline single player game that people who paid money should still be able to access.
Love the article picture!
Funny tweets but the article fails when they refer to Diablo 3 as an MMO.
To be honest, I doubt the DiscLockedContent fiasco had much to do with the poor sales. I wished it did but in all fairness and honesty the large majority of gamers out there are probably nonethewiser to the whole situation.
If you ask me the contributing factors would be:
Over saturation: Game was released way too close to SC5 which imho is a fantastic game. Also the latest version of Blazblue also came out along the same time as well as the new MK edition wi...
Pretty pathetic when day 1 of a game release and you can't even play it. To make it worse the game should in theory be playable offline but nope gotta connect to the shitty blizzard servers due to the AH and probably some BS about piracy. O well brb off to make a new Kotick voodoo doll to torture.
I think a lot of it is to do with age (maturity) and income. Not justifying piracy in the slightest but about 7-10 years ago I'd pirate every single game almost without a care in the world, now at 25 with a well paying job, I haven't pirated a game in over three years. I know a lot of my friends come from very similar backgrounds and when they can, support developers.
Three weeks ago I'd have agreed with you that online passes are a pain in the ass and services like Steam are the way to go.. that was until I bought the Batman Arkham package in the steam specials... Pay for the game, install the game, download games for windows update, re-enter my cdkey to link it with my GFW account, re-enter my Robin and Nightwing DLC keys in GFW, download the DLC through GFWs.. all in all it was a huge pain in the ass. While I personally think Microsoft and GFW is th...
Lol they promise the largest and deepest feature set each year. I just hope the motion control they're adding didn't take a significant amount of resources that could have been better used elsewhere.
Not sure about the dribbling stuff though, seeing how ridiculously poor the refs are in fifa 12, I can't help but think it'll be even easier to get in the box and play for the penalty in fifa 13.
What it's taking them this long to allow UK members to pay in their native currency? That's pretty poor imho considering many banks charge over £1 to do transactions in other currencies.
So Activision decide to pay all of the employees who jumped ship so they can focus all their attention on trying to fuck over two of the most influential people who put Activision on top of the gaming industry? How pathetic can you get? I really hope justice is done here and Activision end up having to pay them double what they are deservedly owed or something.
It's okay Capcom will no doubt recoup that money when they unlock half the disc's content in the upcoming months.
It's pretty sad that Blizzard didn't do something about this. I had a guy add me off the EU forums LF players section however he added me on the US servers which runs a separate friends list from the EU ones. When I explained that I was only on the US servers for when I play with my Canadian friends he was confused and after chatting for a bit turns out he forgot to change region and never realized.. he's now stuck with his main character on the US servers and no way of going back...
