moves way too slowly. Obviously I haven't played it but I'm tired of action games with clunky characters/controls.
The Raiden parts were well done but Big Boss's death was so anticlimactic. I was literally screaming at him to just shut up and die already. They did a horrible job with the ending, drawing it out past an acceptable length and turning it into pure tedium. It took away the gravity of the situation.
MGS3 had the best ending in a game that I've ever played.
MGS3 not on it at all? No ICO? No Shadow Hearts Covenant? No FFX? Epic failure.
trophies/achievements for you to play a game, then maybe you shouldn't be playing it in the first place. In my opinion, deliberately playing a game just to obtain trophies/achievements isn't playing anymore, it becomes work. If you didn't want to play or do a certain thing before achievements were in place but now you're killing yourself to get every last one, it shows that you're an achievement whore, literally slaving away at the game just for some extra arbitrary numbers.
What does revamping the interface have anything to do with bringing out a new console? Is it against the law for them to use their brand spanking new layout in their next platform?
They do have a "medal" system in place. It's called Achievements on the 360. Just take those same Achievements and tweak them a little to become trophies(to reflect the point totals). I don't think it would be back-breaking for them or even cause a delay.
And let's be honest here, between when Sony officially announced trophies and when the game is supposed to release is PLENTY of time to add a little trophy system.
What's all the hubub over FFXIII if even SO4 looks better? My anticipation for the title just dropped severely upon hearing this news. The main FF titles have always brought out the gasps visually and to say it looks inferior or equal to SO4 is saddening as that game doesn't look like anything special.
What are you smoking? EA's latest financial reports showed that the PS3 is EA's bread and butter, far outpacing the income generated from X360 titles. It's only logical that they'd use the PS3 as the lead platform to ease porting to 360 as well as cater more to the audience that's generating the most profit.
It's odd that a simply trophy patch has such a large staggered release. Almost 3 weeks later for NA? That's kind of odd.
He may have said that he doesn't have enough resources to develop on the PS3 but he also said, and I quote, "PS3 is a waste of everyone's time."
Granted, I don't know the exact situation or how/why he said that statement, but it doesn't sound like a simple lack of resources. For whatever reason, he seems to despise the PS3, or Sony.
because the listing says Kurt Wimmer is directing. If true, the movie is going to be full of plot holes and have HORRIBLE editing. Which I don't really understand since his previous two movies had separate editors...

What's with all this talk about "staying alive?" The format has sold over 32 million units. It's not like the Atari Lynx or GameGear here folks.

You mean no more ultra shiny and flat textured NG and DoA games? Thank god!! The gameplay is great but they really needed to change their design approach. Hope they do so with their future projects wherever they may end up working.
People say FF is being milked and they hate the games but then are all hyped over Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant. Two games that SE could have EASILY slapped the FF moniker on to. The funny thing is, each FF game is independent of each other and are standalone titles. All they share is the name. I'm willing to be that if SE labeled IU and TLR as FFXIV and FFXV you'd all hate the games right?
The article says that a Last Remnant demo is on the marketplace today. Is this true?
A few people have mentioned the extra 2 USB ports in the 80GB version as a positive but I gotta ask, are you even using the 2 ports included in the 40GB version? I guess having more is better but I don't even use the 2 that I have.
I highly doubt they'll release FFXIII and FFvXIII on the same day, let alone within months of each other. That's just killing their potential sales in my opinion. The releases should be staggered at least 6 months apart.
