The PS3 version clearly has better lighting and textures. It also has less jaggies.
PS3 is clearly sharper
Is this just the 360 review with that little PS3 blurb attached at the bottom?
Edit: lol, it is.
Based on preorders, double the number of ppl want it on the PS3 versus the 360. Of course preorders aren't everything but I guess the audience for this type of game just doesn't compare to the PS3. The preorders for this game as well as ffxiii double that of the 360 version. Strangely enough battlefield bad company 2 also leads on the PS3.
Yeah ok. 7.25 is acceptable but 6 isn't? Get real. Forget the score. All you really need to know is this part:
"However, for interesting combat, deep characters, and an engaging fantasy, I’d look elsewhere."
Change that to a lot of gamers wasting time with comparisons versus actually playing and enjoying the games.
While I won't be buying Dante's Inferno at launch, I will be picking it up some time down the line when the big releases quiet down. I would say 3rd person action games are my favourite genre.
I don't get the hate around the game. Sure graphically it's not that amazing, but the gameplay is very much like god of war so if you like gow, you should enjoy DI, espe...
Easy, don't use CG cutscenes. Render in-engine like any self-respecting developer does these days.
Is all the evidence you need that game reviews are meaningless and fueled by the almighty dollar.
GoW1 approx 3.2 million
GoW2 approx 2.6 million
GoW:CoO approx 2.0 million.
Sony wouldn't be compensated for the $20 million in any scenario. They put in $20 million and then threw away the property which means they wanted to cut their losses. They aren't entitled to a single red cent of that money and of course Rockstar wouldn't be on the hook for it either.
The decision to make Agent an exclusive is a separate deal or Rockstar just wanted to focus on one console. More likely the former.
It's SE's cash cow. It's always in the back of their minds.
You haven't even played it and you rank it as best RPG? Weirdo.
Even the news is better in HD. Once you go HD you cannot go back. I can't wait for HD to be mandatory and all the SD channels are abolished.
It's identical because they downscaled the game with the 360 in mind. You can't argue that if it was PS3 exclusive it would have been better visually and probably have had more content. They already said they cut out more than 50% of the content due to disc limitations.
You can take any PS3 exclusive and put it up against the 360's lineup and you won't have a single winner on the 360 side.
That's quite unusual for Sony to cannibalize themselves. Releasing GoWIII just a week after FFXIII AND on the SAME day as Yakuza 3? Not a wise move Sony.
Yakuza 3 was going to have a tough time as it is but to compete with GoWIII on release date? It's going to be quickly forgotten and chances of Yakuza 4 making it over here are going down with the sales numbers.
I would have preferred GoWIII releasing at the end of March and Yakuza 3 moved to a "quieter" mo...
It doesn't matter if people are rebuying or if you're combining all PSP skus. Hell, it doesn't even matter if it's 1 person buying every single PSP that's available. The bottom line is, the thing has sold over 30 million units. It's a success. It's undoubtedly a money maker for Sony.
If the PSP is a failure compared to the DS and should be abandoned, then I guess they feel the same way about the PS360 too. The only company in videogames should be Nintendo. Won't that be grand?
fire everyone or what? IGN really has a hard-on for hating on Sony recently. The, "Why I bought a PS3" article a day or two ago was written in a very backhanded manner as well. Just funny to read.
Actually, there's only 1 final fantasy character in this game.
I picked up when I got a PSP and was sorely disappointed in how boring it was. Will pass if the gameplay stays the same.
It's not a mistake. You don't take a PS3 screenshot and photoshop 360 buttons on it by mistake. They clearly had a purpose behind it and they obviously did think they'd get away with it.
