I don't understand this myth about the PS3 needing to update every time you turn it on. I'd like to know how many firmware updates were released this year. It can't be more than a handful. I use the PS3 as my main console and turn it on all the time. I'm never bothered by firmware updates. At least not frequently enough that I have to bitch and moan about not being able to play the game I want.
Yeah it's possible. Steam does it right now. You can play a game on any pc, save to the steam cloud, then go to another pc with steam installed and continue where you left off.
70+ million consoles in the wild and they managed 690k sales. That's not a success at all. Even if you add in Japan's sales for the game, sure it's better than LP2 and SSFIV but that's not saying much.
690k in North America AND Europe combined.
The kinect itself is practically the same price as a 360 arcade. the pricing is madness.
because no one from the mgs4 team was working on rising. even now, the only reason they're working on it is because peace walker is done. and they're probably going to take them back again to work on this secret Kojima project. If what this article says is true, why didn't MS secure it as an exclusive, forever or timed?
Are they insane? Liam O'Brien was EXCELLENT as War. Has that really deep throaty ominous voice. Bruce Willis? Please, that'll just be for his name.
If 10000 doesn't give you a better sword than 1, what's the point? Just call it randomly generated.
What's going on with the RE game announced last year?
Yeah, it only came out 2 weeks before FFXIII and GoWIII. People would definitely have been saving their dollars for those titles so it probably should have sold a lot more. Am I right?
How much do you want a game to sell? Uncharted 2 has sold over 3 million copies. PS3 games tend to sell well consistently over time whereas 360 games are majorly front-loaded and peters out to nothing in a few week's time.
Heavy Rain, another niche title sold over a million. How much did alan wake sell? 300k or so? Face facts, 360 is not the platform for these types of games. JRPGs don't sell and niche titles like this don't sell.
Shooters do sell...
Well seeing as how you haven't played infamous 2, you have no idea if his personality is intact or not. So stop your whining. All of you.
It would make more sense to start out with your full arsenal and just expand on those while adding new powers. All you need to do is scale the enemies to be as powerful as they were at the end of the last game and increase their difficulty as you go as you get more powerful yourself.
In the context of the story it doesn't make sense to lose everything because the whole point of the first game was to prepare Cole to fight The Beast. So now in the sequel he suddenly loses e...
The problem with Prototype for me was that there were TOO MANY powers and they just threw them at you right from the beginning. There was no focus, not to mention most of them sucked.
I tend to prefer a more focused game like Infamous where they dealt out upgrades at a steady pace that made sense in the context of the story. Also gives you time to get used to it and upgrade it a little before you're given the next one.
Just my 2 cents.
Cole has a new voice actor. It's been known for quite some time now.
Only 697k. Even the power of a Monster Hunter mode wasn't enough eh? Hopefully it sells a lot better in NA and Europe. I know I've got mine preordered!
is great but how the hell does that work as an ending to the GoW trilogy? What type of retarded plot-twist would there need to be for Kratos, a character involved in the Greek myth universe somehow switches over to Norse myth? GoW is rooted in Greek Myth where those gods are the only ones that exist.
For GoW4 they can definitely say they're doing Norse myth which is rebooting the series and starting from scratch. But as an ending to the trilogy, no way it would work.
I feel the cutscenes are more enjoyable than the actual game itself. I'm not alone in thinking this as I have friends who tell me that they play the game so they can get to the next cutscene. I'd be more than happy if Kojima made a movie instead of a game.
I don't know why they're being so arrogant. Based on the last batch of screens released, Killzone 2 still looks better. At least at this point in development for Crysis.
You have zero taste. The PS3 cover is league's better looking. That garish white and green crap totally clashes with the cover art. Hell, it clashes with every boxart there is for the 360.
