They failed to mention that most PS3 owners are saving their monies to buy Uncharted 2 in a few weeks, and yet they still outsold the 360 version, despite having an installed base of 8 million less.
Before you bring up the argument that NFS and Uncharted 2 are nothing alike, same goes for NFS and Forza. One's more of an arcade racer, the other is a racing sim. Who's to say one racing fan loves the other game?
Is it just my antivirus or what? My AV is denying access to this site due to a virus.
Nice try but they'll be going for $400USD.
Way to show your professionalism, if this is true that is.

Why would japan have 300 less when it launches a month later?
So if they have an sd and hd version of the wii, how are the games going to be made? make it in hd but somehow include all the low res textures as well so that an sd user can play it? release two versions of the same game? Upscale it to make it pseudo-HD? Or just make wii2 exclusive games?
It's like saying Sony shouldn't be wasting money and time producing movies and tv shows when it could be better spent on the games division.
People learned their lesson this generation as to what happens when you jump onboard an unproven console (hardware-wise). I doubt they'll make the same mistake again should MS release a year or more ahead of the competition.
@DoubleToasted. I'm not a spokesperson for any one company either. I have a PS3 and 360 so if I was badmouthing the 360, I'd be calling myself an idiot since I have one.
My point is simply that people keep saying Live is so much better than the PSN when it really isn't, especially when you consider the amount of revenue MS generates from subscription fees. If PSN can almost match Live with no fees, what exactly is MS doing with that $200-$600 million yearly it makes off of their ...
Even if it's $50 or $30 or even $20, that's still a minimum of $200 million per year going to MS and let's be honest here, the PSN is not that far off in terms of what it offers versus Live and it's free. For even $200 million a year versus $0.00, I would expect a helluva lot more from Live.
Sure you only pay upwards of $60 a year so you think it's really not that much money but you all forget that every Gold user pretty much pays the same yearly fee. Now take that $60/year and multiply it by what, 10 million Gold users? How much money is that making for MS on a yearly basis? That's right, $600 million per year going to MS in subscription fees versus $0.00 going to Sony.
So you gotta ask yourself, is what Live provides you, $600 million (per year) superior to that of...
That's right. Just like you can't do anything about degrading batteries in iphones/ipods/dsl/dsi, etc...
It DOES NOT INCLUDE an HDMI cable. It now comes with standard composite cables. Do some research before writing an article you punks.
Riiiight....because running over a magical first-aid kit fixes all cuts, bruises, broken bones, bullets, burns, instantaneously. Makes MUCH more sense than auto-regen. Both are ridiculous but it's a game. Not to mention, why are there health packs all over the place and why do enemies drop health?
This moron even says, "It's a ****ing video game." Exactly. So accept auto-regen in the same way you accept magical med packs. The article just exudes hypocrisy.
...
Actually, the Wii at $250 is way overpriced. The PS3 and Elite are at their sweet spots IMO.
Funny how it says "includes HDMI port" and not "includes HDMI cable" The PS3 includes an HDMI port too folks!
The article says Univeral Tuning is the North American version repackaged to sell in Japan. So why is he saying it irks people in North America to announce a "superior" version 1 week before it releases here? It's the same game!
I have no idea what you're talking about mricecreamman. I'm pointing out the fact that he wants PS2 games available for download off of the PS Store, but says BC isn't needed. How are people going to play those downloaded PS2 games if there is no BC?
You don't get what you pay for. Live vs PSN is basically $600 million in subscription revenue vs $0.00. If you as a Live user are happy with the minor differences between Live and PSN and you're getting $600 million worth of improvements over it, more power to you.
($600 million derived from approx $50/year fee*12 million gold users. may be less, may be more but still a significant revenue stream)
It's remarkable how MS has brainwashed their legion into thinking, &qu...
