You probably won't buy it anyway. If a game that takes place in Japan with a full Japanese cast of characters who have a unique way of speaking (gangster inflection) doesn't appeal to you enough to want to buy and play the game, why does an english dub make it a must-buy?
Sega is just wasting their time and money by dubbing the game. It's a niche franchise over here and adding an english dub won't increase sales in the least.
Yakuza have a certain way of talking tha...
With his bare hands!!! No armour and punched them all to death.
IGNAU said the game is really easy and you should play on hard if you're an action game vet. These guys say it's "seriously challenging." Do these guys just suck or what?
Yup. People keep complaining about BC but how many people actually make good use out of it? If you buy a new console, your PRIMARY reason should be to play the games made for it. If the library doesn't interest you as much as the previous generation, then don't buy it. I just don't understand people. Why pay $600 for a console you don't even want to play new games on? Stick with your old console or if you never had one, buy it for dirt cheap.
I hope the next Xbox and PS get rid ...
So...you want to pay more for a console so that you can try out a $5 game to see if you like the series? How often do you think that's going to happen? How about renting the game before buying? And SC:Conviction is a departure from the old SC games so you still won't know if you're going to like it until you actually play it.
And just because you like one game in the series doesn't mean you'll like the rest. Every series has its duds.
Exactly! It's like people want a PS2 that happens to play PS3 games as well. It's not going to happen. If it makes the console cheaper, I'm all for ditching BC completely. If you're really that hard up for playing older games, maybe buying into the new generation isn't for you.
Think about it, you have a PS2 and you're going to pay $600 for a PS3 that also plays PS2 games. OR would you rather pay $500 or less for a PS3 that doesn't play any PS2 games at launch? People complain ab...
The outfits are downright ugly.
Star Ocean 4 is February too.
Shipped 1.8 million for LAUNCH DAY. Sold through 1.5 million in 4 days. He hopes to sell 2 million within an unspecified time frame. FFXII sold 2 million LTD so I'm assuming he wants to beat that in Japan. Or maybe he means first week. Regardless, it'll sell more than FFXII did in Japan with a significantly smaller installed base.
Judging by how JRPGs have sold in North America on the 360, I don't hold much hope of FFXIII doing significantly better. Granted, the titles released so far don't have that "Final Fantasy" franchise name behind it but a game like Lost Odyssey, by the "father" of FF didn't sell very well over here.
For multi-console owners, I don't see anyone buying the 360 version over PS3. As for sole 360 owners, they most likely don't enjoy Japanese games which is why they w...
There's no such thing as loyalty in business. If you think MS is going to do something special for those "loyal" japanese 360 owners, you need to sober up and come back to the real world.
I'll be buying FFXIII, Yakuza 3, and GoWIII. Sorry but I won't have the time or the dollars to spend on a cheap Gears of War ripoff.
It's not a slap in the face. You're enjoying the collection right now instead of waiting until March/April. I don't believe the collection is currently available in Europe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes it's not a fad but it doesn't change the fact that people are buying it and not using it for the most part. It's the "in" thing to buy. I have several friends who were clamoring for one during the shortage and not a single one of them uses it anymore. They've all graduated to 360 and/or PS3.
Just because it's sold a lot doesn't mean it's a great console.
So basically all Nintendo products? :P
Comparing Uncharted's LTD sales to 2 month's of Uncharted 2.
It's ridiculous that i'm using a sword. A LASER SWORD and it acts like hacking away at enemies with a block of wood. Do it like jedi knight and dismember limbs. It won't be bloody cuz it's a lightsaber. And clean up the controls. And if he's a freaking powerful jedi/sith why does he have to recharge his force powers from doing basic things? IF he can pull down a star destroyer why can't he force push enemies into pancakes?
They need to improve the combat, increase enemy types, change it so you don't have to be in detective mode all the time, reduce or get rid of the number of riddler trophies. If it wasn't for gaining experience points to spend on upgrades, I wouldn't have even bothered. Artificial way to lengthen the game. Also, get rid of the metroid gameplay system. They did it in the first so change it up in the second.
All of the big PS3 exclusives have sold at least 1 million. Even Infamous did it just last week. PS3 games tend to sell consistently for years as evidenced by Resistance and Ratchet sales. Slow and steady is pretty much par for the course. As long as the game sells through in the millions at the end of its run, what's the big deal?
How many copies of Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 sold after the first few months? Those games were completely front-loaded like a summer blockbuster. PS3 ...
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony should be on the list too.
