Avengers cost them big time, it's also the reason people were wary of other Marvel games like Guardians of the Galaxy.
I personally think they screwed up big time with KH3, not to mention how fragmented the game's story was over multiple hardware until recently, a soft reboot to begin a new saga would have been a good idea.
Yes, the extra 100 sales from having the games on Xbox would have made a huge difference, probably.
Personally I think Square-Enix has gone from an amazing company to an overall meh company, they're still making bank anyway, even when games "fail to meet their expectations" (e.g. TWEWY NEO).
It's a more niche game, but it's the best selling game in the series, I didn't expect it to beat ER.
I think, while this will be bad for jobs, I think a lot of people and corporations over-estimate what AI is currently capable, not only that, but the cost and complexity of actually running a LLM.
Ah, the bane of my young adult years, job hunting is easier when you actually have experience.
I haven't enjoyed a Star Ocean since 3, and even that game was pretty divisive among fans, looking forward to picking this one up though.
In my local EB, I've noticed that they've slowly condensed the physical game sections for each console over the years, it's more gaming merchandise and junk. But then again EB has been on a slow decline for a long time (I believe it's the Australian arm of Gamestop?). The gaming section is Big W has also downsized a little two, it actually feels like Big W has a bigger gaming section than EB these days.
It's been a long time since I bought a COD game, it's just not my cup of tea, and I don't feel the need to buy it each year, every 3 or 4 years at most is fine for me.
I'm honestly surprised about the power usage, you would think there would be enough advancements that they could have had a die shrink or at least made a more efficient APU. That's how the previous PS generations went, the PS4 slim used less power for the same performance in that generation.
I'll watch this video and enjoy it for entertainment, but I respect Gamers Nexus more for willing to comment on stuff the others don't mention or won't touch. Especially when he was the only one going against the grain when PC cases had the trend of suffocating parts instead of trying to allow for adequate air flow.
Didn't this game only just come out? That was bloody short-lived.
I never bought a Gamecube, I've always had an urge to play this game, maybe it'll get a remaster in the future.
@RaiderNation,
That was also the reason the series pretty much died, being sent out alongside those two juggernauts, I still think Titanfall 2 was the better of those 3 games that year.
Idk if I agree, I never really hear Dishonoured being talked about a lot, I think the amount of attention Deathloop got was fine for what it was, then again, I never really cared that much for Arkane Studio's games.
@Concertoine,
Actually it was PS4, I don't recall anyone mentioning that it was console specific at the time though.
I agree, Sonic is wildly inconsistent with each iteration, you never know what you're going to get, at least with Mario, you're more or less guaranteed a good time regardless of which game you play. I really wish Sonic had done a lot better, there's room for both Mario and Sonic, and I actually enjoy Sonic more as a character personally.
I actually hated Prey after playing the demo, for me, it felt so bad to play, I agree that it gets more praise than it deserves. Most of this list is fine though, there are some really good games on there.
Doesn't make sense to me, Sony has always come out on top because of their long-term software strategy, I don't like the course they're taking now, but they're not going to completely abandon a winning strategy. Pulling an Xbox would be a dumb move for them, arguably, they've taken some of the not so smart ideas from Xbox as it is. I think they could have been successful without the 3-tier PS Plus.
Reading that article kinda melted my brain.
I was going to wait for a Steamdeck 2, but I think I'll be buying this now, it's fixed a lot of the things that made me think twice about forking out for a Steamdeck.
