It really should be the executives that get their pay docked or miss out on bonuses for shockingly bad decisions, it's absolute BS that it doesn't ever happen (and then they blame everyone but themselves).

Idk, releasing that game around Mario Wonder seems like a bad idea, I feel like there's a bit of overlap between the fan-bases there, most people are probably going to choose Wonder over Sonic.

I'm still p*ssed that Office is a subscription only, you just can't buy the MS Office suite and call it a day, I hope that rumour about them doing the same with the next version of Windows doesn't eventuate.
Nah, we can safely say Playstation and Nintendo will stand the test of time, as much as I love PC gaming, a lot of people use consoles for simplicity, especially when they have kids in the house, it's only Xbox sitting on shaky ground.

That's a good point, but to add to that, Disney can't get their crap together either, despite all their acquisitions, they can't make a functional streaming app (how hard is it to get sound working Disney? Netflix, Stan, Amazon, ect... Can get it right, but you can't?). A lot of their content output is mediocre to poor as well, save the occasional gem... Well Xbox isn't doing jack squat, they're not even competition for Sony, haven't been since the 360/PS3 gen, and I feel like this is one of Sony's weaker gens compared to the previous 4 Playstation consoles.
Some games on Steam have hit $110 for standard in Australia, that's a big jump from $70, I can tolerate a jump to $80, but you're smoking something when it hits $110. I tend to wait for sales anyway, but even old games like Cyberpunk have just increased in price too (should have got it when it hit $30 on sale earlier this year, then got the DLC later).
Pretty meh month for me, but I guess 2K Drive should be okay, and I've been lowkey interested in trying Sable.
I can't even fathom this, I remember browsing the PC shops, Kmart, Target, ect... and sussing out the games I would be interested in and my parents buying me a game for Christmas, and I would play the crap out of the 1 or 2 games I was given.
I can't see it having the same longevity, but i'm not into those games either, the nostalgia factor in 15 or 20 years time will be interesting.
It's a bit of a rock and a hard place, personally I would just accept a remaster/port, but doing a remake would be very risky for them for those particular games, I don't believe they will want to make the decision that a remake would force them into.

I don't think you should include Apex in your list, that game was good from the get go, unless you're counting Titanfall 1 & 2 for some weird reason.
That's actually the reasons why digital is becoming more appealing to me, that and I live with a low level hoarder.
Epic is always more expensive than Steam for me in my country, so that's a hard pass for me.

I want Steam to have more competition, but a UI change is pretty damn low down on the list of concerns I have, it's really not that bad, and it's still functional. I wish GOG had actually been better competition for Steam.
Often not always true, sometimes the physical disc is cheaper than digital, I wouldn't say "digital games are cheaper" as an absolute.

The best deals I've ever had on Switch games was through physical copies, especially on first party games.

You're going to have to explain this one when I only spoke facts guys, the reviews were bad, if it doesn't work as a fridge, why you buy/use it as a fridge? Otherwise it's just a very expensive piece of video game memorabilia.
I would love a remake of Link to the Past, one in a similar vain to Link's Awakening.
That's a pretty great list, although, I think they could have chosen some other game over Diablo, Diablo 4 has copped a lot of flak for the multiple issues that ticked players off.
