I played through OoT so many times on the 64, then I bought it on the 3DS before the Eshop shut down. I wish we could have a Zelda collection like we did for Mario, I still can't believe that never happened.
Daddy Microsoft was already sitting on a pile of cash that Xbox potentially has access to, as for beating Sony in gaming? You really have to fudge the numbers for Xbox to beat Sony or Nintendo.
@Michiel1989,
I never had a GBA or a DS, but I guess that doesn't stop me from checking them out now.
Xbox hasn't been competition for Sony since the 360 days, and that was the gen Sony made significant mistakes with the PS3, don't think we'll ever get another good gen from Xbox.
@-Foxtrot,
They should totally do a Jak and Daxter remake or a good remaster, as far as I know, the PS4 remaster is terrible.
@_SilverHawk_
I'm half-expecting a Steam version, it's part of Sony's master plan these days.
Imagine putting that on your resume, "I worked at ND where I made the Last of Us, LoU Remaster, LoU 2, Lou 1 remake, Lou2 remaster..."
Is Naughty Dog creative bankrupt? They already did the first game and it's remaster wasn't even that old, LoU2 is even more recent (2020), that's nuts, that game is only 3 years old. I'm all for remasters and ports of old games, but this is not okay with me, pick something that's actually old and needs it.
You like the Paper games? We're getting a remake of Thousand Year Door as well, having said that, I never played it the first time around. So I'll be picking up these two games later on.
I also would rather save the money for another game or put towards some other tech device.
This is a pretty damn good list, especially compared to previous years.
Out of curiosity, what's come out for Steam lately VR wise? I'm not a fan of it, so I don't know what else we realisticly could have expected in this category.
Thankfully Wonder did make the list, it's the most refreshing Mario game in a long time, can't understand the mindset of some of those comments, at least this year's nomination list is mostly fair.
Honestly, I don't think ToTK deserves to take the award over Baldur's Gate 3, ToTK is too much like a 1.5 update or DLC to BoTW, and Baldur's Gate 3 is a stand out game compared to it's contemporaries.
If I even bought the Steam Deck, that would just eliminate any need for the portal, not that I was considering it to begin with, but you can stream from the PS to the Steam Deck with a little bit of setting up anyway.
I assumed that the registration would lock the CD drive to one machine, being able to freely move it between machines makes it a complete non-issue to me.
Back when we didn't have this remake, I didn't care if people pirated the old/original version, now that this exists, I would rather people buy this so that Nintendo knows we like this kind of game.
Nintendo has a lot of fantastic games, they're killing it this gen.
If I like the service to stay subscribed, it makes sense to get a discount for a yearly sub rather than pay the extra monthly.
I really need to knuckle down and actually finish some more of these games.
@Unknown_Gamer5794,
I do agree, it feels like Sony is trying to emulate Xbox for whatever weird reason, Playstation already dunks on Xbox and has for generations. So to see them head in the direction they are now is mind boggling.
