@mkis007,
I really don't know why more big budget studios don't do some AA titles in between bigger titles, not everything needs to be a AAA game with huge cinematic and photo realistic graphics.
I plug my PS2 into my AVR, but that seems to be more complicated that I would have expected, maybe I can find a component to HDMI converter at some point.
I did main my PS2 as a DVD player when I wasn't playing games, good times.
I pray that my PS2/PS3 never dies, I have so many good games trapped on them, I know one out of two of my PS2s have died (I was considering opening it up and having a lot inside).
Imagine if the brand had kept on the upward trajectory that the 360 established early on, at least they brought good online services and features to the industry.
I guess he has skill as a salesman, look how long he managed to get people to wait on Xbox.
Technically, Microsoft was going to kill Xbox off after the Xone announcement, but Phil convinced them to keep going, all he did was prolong its agonising death. And to be fair, they were coming from the success of the 360, so a turn around shouldn't have been out of the question if he didn't make decisions that were significantly bad for the brand. Also, it's sad that with Microsoft's money, those studios they acquired should have flourished rather than languishing in stagnat...
This generation should have been a little longer than to make up for the few years of Covid we had.
It still feels like this gen hasn't even begun, the Pro would be an appealing option for those who don't have a PS5 yet, but most people who want a PS5 probably already have one at this point.
Plus, fighting the anti-competition bodies over the acquisition would have costed them too, probably a calculated risk on their part though.
I don't want Cheeto dust in my keyboard/mouse or my controllers.
I forgot that franchise existed since it was trapped on Xbox, I would love to play that game again.
With all the developers they do own, and the IPs that go with them, they should have had an extensive portfolio of exclusives games, but they barely made anything, just, how?
Exclusives sell consoles, that's a fact, having said that, I'm not buying an Xbox for those few games, I'm going to wait for a PC release (most of the Fable games are there, one or two Gears games are there too). If this exclusives didn't sell consoles, Nintendo and Playstation wouldn't be as successful as they are.
You could see this coming from a mile away, we did hear rumours of a new Xbox, but I'll be very surprised if it actually comes to fruition, unless that's actually an Xbox/PC handheld they're developing.
I also wonder if they were aware of the microtransaction or if they even looked/available at the time they played? You would have thought so, and that should have triggered them to mention it in their reviews, but then again a lot of the major gaming journalist outlets aren't that good to begin with.
My understanding was that Sony helped more than actually funding the game, hence while it started out as an exclusive game for Playstion, but we know the plan was to eventually port it to at least PCs.
I can't see it being on the Switch either, look at how badly the Witcher Wild Hunt runs on it, considering FF16 is a lot newer, it would be a disaster. But the Switch 2 might be able to run it at a decent graphic/performance level.
Artistic choices for the most part? Fair enough, not everything needs to be hyper realistic.
@Just_looken,
Hopefully it's something simple, it still powers on, just doesn't output picture/video or sound.
