Yes, the RROD was a big deal breaker for them at the time, If they can get a good game lineup, they'd be set.
Unfortunately, not because they wanted to, they were forced into it.
Nintendo would be nuts to release another console after the WiiU's failure, there're just about to get the Switch out, it's really expensive and inefficient for them to do another console so soon. They would probably just continue to support the Switch, Nintendo never really tries to compete with Sony and Microsoft on the same footing anyway, they always try to go in a different direction on purpose. Which is not a bad idea in of itself (why compete in the same areas as those two ...
But the Switch came out earlier because of the failure that was the WiiU, can we argue it's a gen ahead? It's strange for the same console manufacturer to have 2 consoles in one gen (excluding refreshes).
How about we wait a couple or a few years before we starting talking seriously about the next gen, this gen is pretty fantastic so far, unless...
I thought so too, but the multi-player doesn't feel good, Titanfall 2's multi-player fills the same spot better, but it doesn't have COD's popularity to help it.
Sure it's not franchise fatigue, I mean, we get a new one every year, hard to keep the same game fresh every year. Personally I like the sci-fi direction we're going in but Infinite Warfare feels clunky to me.
I feel like Titanfall 2 did Infinite Warfare's multi-player better, but both games had decent campaigns, so...
I'm pretty sure we've got almost everything we could ever want (unless someone can show me something new we don't have). Region free and the share features are some of my favorites so far, VR will probably get better though, assuming it finds a killer app or a good way of using it.
True, personally I find the Pro to be a let down, but if I didn't already own a PS4, that's the version I would buy.
I'm hoping the PS5 will be backwards compatible with the PS4 like the PS2 was to the PS1, I really miss that feature even though I understand why we haven't had it for a while.
Oh wow, that's shocking, 1080p/60fps is so affordable these days, I'm surprised the number is so low. It seems like hardware is starting to get comfy with 1440p gaming since we have mid range cards capable of it. I guess most people are holding back on their hardware upgrades.
I'd buy a PS5, but I don't want this generation to be over for a couple of years, at least, I'm really enjoying this generation, more so than the PS3/360/Wii era. Plus I want the next generation to be a significant leap over the PS4/Xone/Switch.
I really want to buy it on PC, I'd be okay with GOG, even though it's unlikely.
Yass, more lewdness!
I don't really care for trophies but it does give you more to do in your games after you finish them. Personally I like the what's new feature on Playstation so I can see what my friends have done or played.
The game was a mess, it had some good point and some bad points, it was a beautiful mess of a game. The story and characters were the major letdown for me, the story telling was very disjointed and barely there.
Personally after finishing it, I was not satisfied, I'm not buying the DLC for it either, not after playing it. I just hope they take the best parts from the game and make 16 a much better game. They almost had the formula for an amazing game but they squander...
Personally I love physicals, it's a habit leftover from until last year, when I got decent internet. I still prefer physicals, but I like having a collection to display.
I think the bigger issue is that VR doesn't have a killer app or game, at this point it's more of a fad.
Personally I cave before the hardware refreshes, especially when the good games start rolling out.
