I'd say the technology wasn't quite there when they built the Xbox1X, another 2 or 3 years is a reasonable guess for GPU technology.
@Saigon,
That's possible the lengths of each gen has slowly increased with every console.
@yeahright2,
Yeah, I find they can be addictive but repetitive, after a while I realize how many other games I have left unfinished in the pile. So I try to finish those first and play multi-player during dry spells.
P4D was, Persona Q apparently is, so I suspect these will be too somehow.
This is my issue with it. Based on everything we've seen thus far, it looks liek one of those games you dick about in for 2 or 3 hours and never touch again.
I think it's some of the old-style game mechanics that make the game artificially harder, but it's not impossible to play, just awkward.
I really wish they would port more the PSN and have it as a download option for the PS4/PSVita, there are some great classics I never got to play.
And thanks again captain obvious for more obvious comments on the industry.
No one does native 4k except on a few select titles for each console.
Your free to do that if you want, you should have known what you were getting yourself into when you bought a console. It's for those people who just want to insert a disc and play (easy), rather than a premium experience like you can get on a high end pc.
Most games have both single player campaign and multi-player, it's more common these days to see single player dropped or just tacked on (except in games like Titanfall 2 and Battlefield one, where it's really good, but really short). I don't know how people think rubbish comments like these are valid.
The Xbox isn't poorly built or designed, not by a long shot, it gets shafted because it has other issues which are well known. I'd place the blame on poor management of the brand if anything.
Any time we try to have a serious, objective discussion on consoles and the industry, someone... Lots of someones have to kick up and go "Nu huh, not true... Your the dodo head, your console/game of choice is shit, ect..." like little kids.
It's very difficult to take a hard look at any given game or console, especially when invest heavily into any given eco-system or series. That fact has been proven many times on this site when reading the comment sections, ...
@Cobra951,
I live in Australia, so Amazon is not an option, too damn expensive and I'd have to wait a month when I do buy from there, we're supposedly getting Amazon in Australia soon. No point paying for express, I've tried it with a couple of stores, it pretty much turns up at the same time as the cheapest shipping option, complete waste of money at that price. Digital is the same as you guys, but I highly prefer physicals where possible.
Defiantly don't go cheap on the TV, you'll regret it, anyway, how often do you upgrade TVs? We owned the same one for almost 8 years before we upgraded.
@boing1,
I wanted to get one of those, but they were sold out everywhere or they wouldn't deliver to my house when I saw them online.
Wait for the previous year's models to go on sale, then you can get a high TV on the cheap.
Defiantly take your time picking the TV, for that much money you don't want to screw it up, I was lucky the TV I ended up with was on sale. It knocked off 400 AUD and I spend that money on getting a 4k blu ray player. OLED is the best choice, but most people don't have that much money to burn.
@blackblades,
When I was shopping for a 4k TV, I was going to get a Samsung, but last year's models were sold out and everyone recommended against getting one of this year's models. I ended up with a Sony Bravia, I'm really happy with it though (I didn't want to spend that much money on a lackluster 4k TV).
I wouldn't mind 1440p upscaled to 4k as standard next gen personally, and that's very doable, not as good as 4k but still a worthwhile improvement over 1080p
