That might not be the case though, Microsoft dropped support for the 360 too early in my opinion. That and games have to run on the vanilla versions of each console. Personally, I predict the status quo will stay as is.
TBH, Sony has the most diversity when it comes to game genres so it was top priority for me when choosing a console, next console purchase will be Switch so I can get the remainder of the best exclusives. I want Halo but it's not enough for me get an Xone just for that one game (maybe Gears as well).
I want a Switch so it's game library can complement my collections on PS4 and PC.
I'm actually shocked that most people don't finish their games, to me that's like watching a good movie half way through and stopping to never watch the ending. I finish about 8 or 9 out of 10 games I own, so I'm always surprised when I check the trophies for games and find that actually completing a game is a rare thing for people.
Those are all fine games, but I'm shocked you didn't like Horizon Dawn Zero, it takes alot of things other games have done and improves or perfects it. It's in a similar boat to the latest Zelda, I'd find it hard to believe you enjoy one and dislike the other unless it was the setting or something that puts you off.
You might as well call it a round up of things to be excited for or to look forward to. But if that was the case, the list would end up bigger than 3 items before the end of the year.
@rainslacker
Exactly, 4k still has a low adoption rate and big price barrier to entry (You're going to need at least $3000 AUD for a reasonable 4k experience or your wasting your money). As for Crackdown 3, when I saw the trailer at the last E3, it just look bad to me, I don't know how a large portion of xone owners could be looking forward to it. I just got Horizon Dawn in the mail Friday gone, I can see why it's so highly regarded now, hopefully I can do a goo...
Are we talking about the whole westernization thing? Or how the press pushed for the "JRPGs need to change" thing?
You realize you don't need Tarot cards, cystal balls or the occult to have a somewhat reasonable predication as to how this is going to go down. Just look at the trends this gen and last gen, they'll give you a good guess at what will most likely happen. I swear some of you people have short term memories or just can't see patterns for some reason.
The only time his right is when he states the obvious, the lack of games is a long term problem for the Xone.
Mr obvious strikes again, of course this was going to happen, at best it wasn't going to sell any more than the Pro. This is what I meant when I said Xbox repeating the PS3's mistakes.
What games can you possibly play on the Switch with Playstation owners? I can't think of any TBH. All of the multi-player games I want on the Switch aren't available on Playstation anyway, so I still fail to see the few benefits that crossplay provides.
Microsoft and Sony have better friendship management then Nintendo anyway, I always find managing my friends on Nintendo consoles and handhelds awkward.

"Why do you guys always make this about Xbox anytime Sony could improve on something?"
To be fair, I've never seen you give anything resembling an objective opinion, I've rarely seen you give lip service in an reasonable attempt to at least appear impartial. You've never criticized Xbox on any of it's failings, I don't see why you should be able to criticize Playstation for what few failings it has had this gen.
I know alot of Xbox owners who bought a PS4 just to play with their friends, they still cry foul about it, but adding crossplay would probably hurt Sony more then help it. I'm pretty sure the Xbox fanboys know this deep down but don't want to admit it because it helps their console of choice.
I'm shocked that hardly anyone is kicking up about the crappy voice chat solution on the Switch, how hard is it to come with with a blue tooth microphone/headset? Sony and Microsoft have both developed good solutions for voice chat, Nintendo really screwed that up to the point where I think they're being awkward on purpose (that's what I would consider an inexcusable problem).
Crossplay is such an insignificant feature that it barely effects anyone, only the ha...
I must be so hard done by, I have all these games to play on my system of choice, I don't even have all the time and money for them. T_T.
You'd think he'd give it a rest after pushing his agenda for so long. His reputation is so bad in the community that no one can take his opinions seriously except for the hardcore fanboys.
I didn't even give a Sh*t about crossplay last gen, don't know why people have suddenly become so desperate for it now (cool feature, but we all know why it won't become commonplace).
They do have a lot to learn from each other, but that doesn't mean they are actually learning from each other's mistakes and victories (e.g. Microsoft repeating some of last gen Sony's mistakes). You know how history tends to repeat itself...
I can really only see cross play benefit developers who make multi-plat games, and even then, the positive effect they get from increased sales would be minimal.
I can't justify buying a Xone when the majority of the games it has are on PS4/PC already, for me it's just not worth buying only for Halo or Gears.
I can't justify buying a PRO or a OneX either when you already own vanilla versions of either console. I know some people who don't even own 4k TVs and yet they bought the PRO/XoneX... Why?
